Lucas
Crap! Thats all I can think right now. First I walked in acting like a jerk now I'm not even talking to Mel. Stupid Kyle! He told me that if I came to school acting like my old self Mel would fall for me again. I guess it wasn't that bad a theory, that was the guy she fell for. Although when I met her and talked to her I just felt like a different person she changed who I was. She fell more and more when I started to change, crap I'm stupid. We are like 3 minutes until we hit the office and we still haven't talked to one another.
Debating whether or not I should say something I blurt out, "I'm sorry Mel! I'm a jerk!"
Regretting saying that I stand there and she doesn't respond. Seconds feel like years, and I wish I knew what was going through her head. I feel like it's been forever and she still haven't said a word. I'm the dumbest person alive if I didn't pull that stunt I could have won her back today. I feel like crap, worse then crap, like crappy crap! I suck!
We get to the office and I take a seat as melody tells them the situation. I hear the lady tell her the principle will be there soon. Mel looks at me then to the lady and tells her she is supposed to stay with me and the lady motions to sit next to me. Mel walks over and sits down right beside me, with out making eye contact.
"Mel seriously I'm sorry! I made a stupid decision and I'm sorry! You have to forgive your boyfriend!" I laugh trying to lighten the mood.
She sits for a moment the looks at me and says, "You know Lucas, you are one of the first boys that I actually believed cared about me, but I guess I was wrong."
"No no no Mel you aren't wrong! I do care about you very much!"
"Lucas if you cared about me and knew me, you wouldn't of done that."
"I'm sorry Mel! I just thought I lost you, and Kyle told me I would get you back this way."
"You wanna know something really funny?"
"Um sure"
"You pulled that stunt to win me back but you already had me, but now, now I'm gone."
Melody looks away without another word. I feel horrible, I lost the only girl I have ever cared about.
Lunch
I walk out to the lunch room from the principles office and I see all my friends gathered at one table. I sit down and the guys all applaud me as the girls look at me with disgust. Obviously Mel must of told the girls cause they look at me as if I was a murderer.
I look to my left and I see Mel walk out of the lunch line. I wave to her but all she does is look at me and walk away. I watch where she goes, and she goes to the only empty table and sits there. I need to do something and really soon. I hear one of the girls say she is gonna go sit with her but I immediately cut her off. I stand up and say I'm gonna handle this. With my confidence boosted I don't even mind their slight laughter.
I grab my lunch and take a seat across from melody. I don't say anything at first I just watch her read and look up every once and awhile to eat her food.
Eventually I grab her book and she yells " Really Lucas! First you have to crush my heart now you take my book!!"
"I'm sorry Mel just we need to talk!"
"I'm done talking now give me my book and let me leave!"
"I will not let you leave until our conversation is fine!"
"Well at least give me my book back she is my favorite!!"
"You call your book a she?!?" I laugh
"Really this is not the time!"
"Sorry sorry I just couldn't help it" I say as I hand her book back and she takes off.
"Melody!!!!!"
I run after her and I grab her backpack and pull her back. She looks at me tears building in her eyes and begs me to go away
"I will not leave until you forgive me, and we are together forever!"
Her tears finally breaking loose I grab her and hold her close. I wrap my arms around her and lay my head on hers. I act as if I'm her protecter and nothing will ever harm her. She looks up to me make up running and I take my thumb and wipe her eyes. She looks away and I tell her that she is beautiful and doesn't need to worry.
She looks at me and whispers, "yes, I don't want you to go!"
