Chapert 8

Lucas.

Oh my gosh!! I think to my self as I watch Melody walk out of her house. She looks more beautiful then any other girl out there. Her long dark hair is all wavey and her eyes sparkle. She is wearing this navy blue dress that makes her eyes look incredibly beautiful. And all I'm wearing is jeans and a nice shirt I'm such a chump. Why does she have to look so perfect and be so perfect?

"Hey Mel!" I smile and open the car door for her.

"Hey Lucas" she says in her adorable little way,"so where are we headed?"

"That's if for me to know and for you to find out" I mysteriously say.

"So I can't know" Mel makes a pouty face

"Not until we get there!" I laugh back.

"Oh fine I guess I can wait."

"Trust me you will love it!"

"I better for all this building up you are doing" melody laughs.

"Oh you will!"

We are driving along the road in complete silence! We are both being so awkward this is not good. I have never felt this weird being alone with a girl. I've taken hundreds of girls out on dates but none of them have made me feel this way. I can't tell what this feeling is, am I happy, or is this a bad feeling.

Oh no! She pulled a book out of her bag. A book! What the heck! She must of known this date would suck since she's reading in outer first date. I wonder what she is reading? I can't really tell. It kind of looks like Harry Potter but I can exactly tell. It can't be a girl as smart as would have read all of those by now.

I take a look to the side to see what she's reading when BANG!!?

Where am I? What's going on? My whole world just went blank and I have no Idea what just happened.

"Whoa!" I hear come out of Melody's mouth.

I don't know where melody is I can just hear her heavy breathing go faster and faster. I force open my eyelids and I'm hanging upside down in my car. I take a look to my left and I see Melody and she looks shocked. I still don't know what's going on. All I know is I'm laying upside down in my car.

OH NO MY CAR! This car is my fathers and I just destroyed it! Uh oh! Everything about this moment is bad.

I strain my ears and I hear sirens coming from all directions, and with a blink of an eye a man is pulling me from my car and shouting to other men. I see them also pull Melody out and rush her to the ambulance. I on the other hand they slowly help me up and walk me to a seat.

The ambulance Melody was rushed to takes off at lightning speed. I just sit and watch, helpless with no clue what to do.

Looking across the way I see another car. Not as damaged as mine but still bad. There is an man sitting on the side of the road and a young girl beside him. The man looks decent his clothes are torn and his body is ripped up. The young girl on the other hand has no physical damage but you can easily tell she has been damaged emotionally.

After sitting for what feels like eternity a middle aged man comes to me and explains what happens. As he starts to speak I look over to my car and right next to the window is Harry Potter just as I thought.

"Hello young man. You are probably in a shock right now as most are."

"Yes, I would like to know what is going on."

"Well here is goes, brace yourself!"

"Okay I'm ready!"

"As you were driving that young man over there, Dylan, was driving his younger sister over to the park across the street. Dylan took a wrong turn and forcefully smashed into your car. The impact was so intense that your car flipped instantly."

"Where's Melody?!?"

"Well Dylan hit the passenger seat, and your friend was greatly damaged and needs emergency medical help!"

"What's wrong with her?!"

"When Dylan hit your car she slammed her head into the dashboard then back into the seat. We don't know exactly what could be happening but we know it's urgent."

"Oh my gosh!"
