Chapter 4: Crushing

Chloe's P.O.V

I woke up happy knowing that Niall is still laying besides me. Something about him made me feel safe and secure. I laid there facing him staring at his features, his hair laid messily across his face, he took slow breaths letting small puffs of air out and his facial expression looked peaceful. Soon enough his eyes opened "Good morning" he said sleepily. "Morning" I said getting up trying to make it less obvious that I was watching him sleep. "Any bad dreams?" he asked standing up himself, softly taking my hand in his. "Uh...N-n-no" I stuttered. He let a small smile appear on his face, most likely knowing that I was nervous. "Lets go down stairs and have some breakfast" he said leading me down stairs into the kitchen. 

"Whats going on between you two?" Louis asked with a smile. 

I felt myself blush, Niall did the same thing. "Nothing" he said handing me a plate with food. Hearing him say that kind of hurt. I know that there was nothing between us but I was kind of wishing that there was something. I sat down at the table next to Louis and Zayn and began eating. 

"So Louis, Zayn and I were thinking that after you find out which one of us will be your next mentor. We should throw a small party? You know like a pool party! We can invite some people over too" Harry smiled. He seemed like the type of person who always loved being around people whether it was just talking or partying. 

"Well, we haven't seen some of our old friends in a while. It would be pretty fun. But if we do have one only a small amount of people that are close. We don't need The Council showing up getting close to Chloe" Liam said walking down stairs, getting himself a plate of food and sitting down at the table. 

"Ill go out and get some food after Chloe picks. Zayn, Harry want to come with me?" Louis asked standing up. They both nodded leaving plates of eaten and uneaten food on the table.

Liam quickly finished his food, "So Chloe, who is going to mentor you next" I closed my eyes suddenly seeing Louis. "Louis" I said quietly. Louis popped up giving me a kiss on the cheek, I saw Niall look away when he did. "Cant wait to show you my ability!" he said excitedly before leaving with Harry and Zayn. "I'm going to go call everyone" Liam said following them leaving me and Niall alone. 

"Niall since it is a pool party and I'm going to be staying her a while. Could we go back to my house and pick up some clothing and a swim suit?" I asked hoping he would consider taking me home. "Only if you stay close alright. I don't need you getting...hurt" I nodded.

He pulled up to my house. It looked the same as when we left it a week ago. "Stay here I'm going to go check it out first" he said leaving me on the front porch. I looked around my neighborhood. Luckily it was the usual time when people would go on vacations. "Chloe, its safe" Niall said appearing behind me causing me to flinch. "Don't sneak up on me like that!" he just laughed following me up to my room. I pulled my suitcase from underneath my bed and began to pack as much clothes as I could fit in, not looking or paying much attention to what exactly what I was putting in it. I found a bathing suit, my favorite to be exact and put it in my suitcase as well. "Ill be right back" I said going to the bathroom with a bag. "Ill come with you" he said. "Its connected to my bedroom" I laughed and he nodded. I packed some necessities I knew I would need later and I also saw the very small selection of makeup that I had. I looked at it, I normally never wore makeup unless it was a special occasion so I shoved it in my bag too. I don't know why but I did I felt like I was going to need it. I came out to see Niall holding a picture frame of me and my older brother.

'Whos he? Your boyfriend?"

I laughed. 

"Whats so funny" he turned around smiling
