Chapter 5: Getting the Courage

Niall's P.O.V.

I was sitting down on the couch in the living room, watching tv. Everyone was upstairs and I couldn't sleep. Ive been down here for a while, I just kept replaying Chloe smiling at me, she was cute. I couldn't get her off my mind, I could be talking to Liam and thinking about our conversation when she would pop into my head. Its not that I'm mad about it but this has never happened to me about anything especially a girl. I would constantly watch her and Zayn earlier this week as they were practicing her new ability. It was cute how frustrated she would get, she would furrow her eyebrows and begin to mess with her hair. Tomorrow she would be working with Louis perfecting her new ability of tracking. 

"Couldn't sleep again I see" Chloe laughed taking a seat next to me. 

"Nope. Did you have another nightmare?" I asked beginning to worry. 

"No Charlotte sort of took my whole bed. So I came down here to sleep if that's okay" 

"Yeah of course" I said moving over but then realized there wasn't much room left.  "You can lay down on me since there isn't much room left." I hoped she wouldn't think I was creepy. She took one of the pillows on the couch and laid it down on my lap.I felt butterflies in my stomach as she came close to me. She stared up at me and smiled. "You have beautiful eyes" I blurted out without thinking causing her to blush. "I love your smile" she complimented me back, now it was my turn to smile and blush. I couldn't hide that I had something for Chloe and I was hoping that she had something for me too. I took another glance at Chloe to see her asleep. I pulled the blanket over her before falling asleep my self.

I opened my eyes to see the boys, Charlotte and Matt gathered around us. Chloe must have waken up at the same time since she was shooing away Charlotte. I could feel the heat rush to my cheeks. "Awww look Nialler is blushing" Louis cooed. I shook it off going upstairs to my room to change. When I came back down stairs Louis and Chloe were outside, beginning her training. I smiled seeing her laugh, knowing that Louis was trying to make this whole situation less serious. 

"What are you looking at out there?" Charlotte asked walking up to me taking a sip from a glass of water that was in her hand. 

"I..uh..I think there's a storm coming" I stuttered. 

"You like Chloe don't you" she smirked. I just kept looking out the window. I didn't want everyone knowing that I had a crush on her. "You should ask her out Ni."

"Nah, she wouldn't agree" I walked away from the window opening the fridge pulling out some water. 

She laughed following me into the kitchen. "I know she will say yes. Just do it, don't worry." she left the room leaving me alone. "You better ask her when she comes inside or else!" she yelled from down the hall. 

"I agree with her Niall" Liam agreed, I guess he was sitting on the couch the whole time without me knowing. 

I spent the rest of the day thinking about how I would ask Chloe out. I'm still not sure she is going to agree I mean why would she. I want her to but sometimes Charlotte liked to mess with us. Well she has been talking to Chloe recently the past 2 days, and is probably talking to her about us maybe even me. Maybe there is some hope that she will agree after all. 

Chloe's P.O.V.

Today having Louis mentoring me was extremely fun. He made learning tracking, his ability so much fun. Right now I'm currently hiding in the woods, he told me to hide somewhere and he would find me. It only took him a few minutes to find me and lead me back to the house. "Alright now its your turn. I want you to clear your mind and focus on.... Harry" he said. I cleared my  mind and only focusing on Harry. "Okay you should see where he is, like the room he is in" he told me. At first I saw nothing but then slowly images were beginning to come into my head and I eventually saw Harry. "Hes in his room watching T.V." I said and Louis clapped. "Good job! You know you probably don't even need my help for a whole week" he smiled giving me a hug. He lead us inside and went upstairs probably to finish the game of fifa that him Zayn and Liam were playing earlier. I opened the fridge taking a water bottle out when Niall came up to me. 

"Hey Chloe how was training today?"he asked avoiding eye contact. 

"It went pretty good. Louis said I might not need much more training since I'm doing good." I smiled looking up at him, he glanced at Charlotte who was also in the room as well and she gave him a certain look I couldn't describe. He then turned his attention towards me again. 

"Listen, Chloe. Would you maybe...would you go out with me on a date tomorrow?" he asked nervously. A smile grew on my face. 

"I would love that" he looked up surprised and hugged me. "I cant wait" he said acting like a little boy. 

When he left the room Charlotte came over and congratulated me by squealing and jumping up and down and she promised to help me get ready for my date tomorrow. Once she was finished freaking out I went to go find Louis. All of the boys were in his room playing fifa, of course. I asked if I could talk to him out in the hall. 

"Could we skip tomorrows day of training? You did say that I was doing really well and"

He cut me off "Yeah sure whats going on tomorrow?"

"I'm going on a date.......with Niall" I said quietly as he just smiled at me poking my sides. 

"You two. Awwww I knew there was something between you two." I pushed him back into the room, this time Niall looked up at me and gave me a wink. I winked back giggling before leaving.
