Chapter 19: Transformation

Chloe's P.O.V.

I followed Jarrod outside to where there was a circle made in the dirt. He forced me down on a ground and tied my hands behind my back and feet with ropes instead of chains this time.  He left me to go and talk with Mary. They still haven't realized that most of their people were gone, which was very surprising.

Soon enough Jarrod came back with Mary pulling me into the center of the circle.

I glanced at my wrists seeing marks from the previous times I was chained up. "Just a few more minutes and you will be a complete enchanter. But until then....." He said coming closer to me lifting my chin up forcefully so that I was looking straight at him.

"You look look so fit in that dress" he whispered in my ear kissing my neck making me uncomfortable. I turned my head causing his hand to drop suddenly when he looked at me his eyes sent me daggers.

"But I could care less. All I want are your powers and you were stupid enough to fall for my deal" he spat slapping me. I winced in pain when he slapped me again.

"Mary" he signaled her over to me. She too had a smirk on her face, I knew what he wanted her to do but I wasn't ready for the pain that was going to be coursing through out my whole body. They weren't  going to make my death quick they wanted me to suffer.

She stared at me and I instantly felt the pain spread through my body causing me to scream out in pain.

Niall's P.O.V.

When I heard her scream I stopped in my tracks

"C'mon Niall we have to go if we want to save her" I shook my head continuing on with the rest of the group. We continued to walk to the forest until we saw Jarrod, Mary and Chloe in a circle of some sort that was on the ground.

"Okay I've got an idea" Louis said bringing us all closer together so he could explain.

Harry, Zoe, Liam and I were going to go and stop Jarrod while the rest would go distract Mary and kill her. Zayn, Louis and the girls were going to make noises in the bushes while we went towards Jarrod. We knew that Jarrod would send Mary since he was the one in charge.

"Go see what's out there. She's about to change and I need to drain her abilities the closest after her transformation and kill her after or I wont get her abilities." Jarrod ordered Mary and she ran off into the woods.

Suddenly Jarrod was thrown out of the circle and hit the ground. Chloe began screaming, easily escaping the ropes that were around her hands and ankles. Her head snapped in several different directions trying to find a way to leave the circle but she couldn't. Worry filled her eyes along with tears, she had no idea what was about to happen to her. Suddenly she screamed, her back arched as she screamed again and her skin seemed like it was glowing.

She was transforming into a full enchanter.

I have never seen a transformation this long and painful for an enchanter. Her parents told me and the boys that she was going to be a very powerful enchanter, but I didn't know that she would be this powerful.

There were only a few of us that were that powerful, but they chose to stay quiet and form their own secret group. Unlike The Council this group was nice and they didn't want just their lives to be perfect, but others even those that weren't enchanters.

She continued to scream and collapsed to the floor, her head hitting the ground with so much force that it completely knocked her unconscious. All I wanted to do was run over to her and hold her in my arms and comfort her. But I couldn't blow our cover and now none of us could help her, no one could.
