A/N: This was originally two shorter chapters, which I have put together after being told that they were pretty short by a friend. So instead you get one longer chapter which two halves. If you prefer this length of chapter to the usual 1k then say so and I might try and start writing slightly longer chapters where it fits. Enough from me, enjoy the chapter!

The next few days passed peacefully, after looking through the later albums with Vic and confirming his story completely, I went to bed and slept better than I had the night before. Vic was at collage during the days that followed, leaving me to explore, finding a games room that he had somehow managed to keep in style with the rest of the house, and a pool in one of the gardens, complete with a small outhouse which could be used as a changing room.

Each day, when he, Mike, Jaime and Tony got home, we would all eat together in the dining room before either going into the games room, or watching tv and films in the cinema room. Soon the first week of my time here was over, and I had little to show for it. I'd asked Vic if I could maybe try out some new skills during my time here to keep me occupied during the days he was at collage, and so by the third day without him, a girl called Juliet arrived, with a whole list of things that she would help me try out.

I had tried out playing musical instruments, and found that while I enjoyed trying to play the piano, I didn't have the patience for it. I could sing, something I'd known for years, but I didn't want to rely on that to make money.

The next activities were sports, such as Tennis and Badminton played out on the courts in the farther reaches of the grounds. While I was good at the sports, I found that they reminded me too much of high school, where I was bullied badly, particularly in the last two years after my Grandmother died and I was living in the home. It made gym hell, and put me off sports for life. Finally, on the Friday afternoon we discussed the next weeks schedule. It included gardening, designing, painting, drawing and modelling. I looked forward to it.

Eventually Saturday came and Vic seemed determined to keep me to himself the whole time. It was strangely nice to woken up by him shaking me, sat on the edge of my bed. No matter how weird the situation was, it was kind of nice to be cared for for the first time in seven years.
"Come on Kellin, we've got breakfast and then I'm going to teach you how to Waltz. I'll pick your clothes out while you go and shower, save you having to do it yourself."
"Okay, I'll trust your judgement."

I climbed out of bed, and went to get myself showered. It didn't take long, and soon I was walking out of the en suite bathroom with a towel hung around my waist. Vic was still there, seemingly trying to pick between two tops.
"Which one would you prefer? I can't decide." I walked towards him, and looked at them. They were both muscle tees, the same as what he was wearing. One was a light grey, the other light blue. Lying on the bed between them was a pair of light grey slim cut sweat pants, allowing for easy movements.
"The light blue, the greys are really close in tone." He nodded, and picked the grey top up to put away again.
"I'll wait outside while you get dressed."

Pretty soon, we were walking into the ballroom, both dressed in similar sweats, only differing in the colour and tones of our sweat pants and muscle tees. I was desperately trying to ignore how good and muscular his arms were.
"So, have you ever seen people dance a Waltz before?"
"I have, on TV and in movies." He grinned, and took his phone out to get some music up.
"I will teach you a basic version first, and then we can build it up. I am gonna have you dancing as though have been trained for it your entire life."

"Let's start that again." I winced slightly, worrying about how many times I'd trodden on his toes. We separated and backed away a few metres. I bowed in the way that he's shown me, and once he'd finished appraising my posture, watched him follow suit. There were a few seconds to wait before straightening up and moving back into his arms. I'd assumed what would normally be the male role, being the taller of te two of us. However, Vic still led and whispered instructions in my ear.

"Left foot first remember? It will go left two three, right two three, which means left right left, right left right."
"Got it."
"Okay lets go." He resumed telling me which foot to move, speaking in time with the music. Focusing on his voice I could do it.The problem was that it was getting increasingly difficult to focus. Noticing how attractive he actually was for the first time meant that I now couldn't help but think about it. It wasn't just his arms anymore, I'd recognized the beauty in his face. But I tried to push it from my mind and focus on dancing instead.

We actually managed to keep it going for a few steady turns, but the second I stopped focusing on what I was doing and realised that I'd done better than before, I stepped too early and trod on his toe again.
"You were doing so well that time. Whatever you were doing, it worked. Just keep doing it this time. One last go, then we can break for a drink."

This time, I managed to stay focused for longer, and it was Vic that that stopped us, though it didn't involve stepping on anyone's toes.
"That's it! You can do it!" he hugged me without thinking, and I awkwardly returned it. I still felt so weird around him, and hadn't completely forgiving him for the way he just took me away from what had been mine life. "Sorry, that was probably too much, wasn't it?" He pulled back and gave me a little bit of space. I nodded, not sure whether I liked the fact he ahd just hugged me.

At this point, the door opened, and I turned to see Mike walking into the room.
"We're going now. Don't worry about waiting up, I managed to book a hotel for the three of us to crash in after the club."
"Okay, have a good time, use protection, and don't get anyone pregnant. Oh, and stay away from the drugs." Vic seemed so non-chalent about his little brother going off to a night club.
"I'm not stupid, I'll try not to, and no promises." He grinned, obviously not planning on getting mixed up with drugs. Vic just rolled his eyes, turning the music off using his phone. "Jaime and Tony are already in the car, might see you tomorrow." I waved as he left the room.

"Okay, let's go and grab a glass of water or something, then do that again a few times, so that you really do have it nailed. Then we can work in some new parts tomorrow. It will be more like how you actually dance at a ball style function."
"That sounds scary, but let's do it." I found that I was smiling at his enthusiasm in spite of myself.

It wasn't long before we had finished our drinks, and were dancing again. I was now able to go for the entire dance, even if it still involved intense concentration. I was starting to really enjoy it, there was some satisfaction in being able to dance this way. Eventually, Vic stopped us, grinning, and turned off the music.
"You have picked that up so quickly, I can not begin to explain how proud I am right now, that I have taught you to dance."
"Thank you. I mean, I am having to concentrate really hard, but its fun." He laughed softly.
"You will get to the point where you don't need to think about it so much. Its just practice from here on in. We can practice more through the week, I only have three days of collage during the week, so if you aren't busy with Juliet then we can hang out."
"Sure. We could play pool or something." I had wanted to try out the pool table since I'd seen it.
"And I can show the the actual pools. We have an indoor pool, complete with hot tub, and then the same set up again outside. I am amazed you haven't checked them out yet." If I was totally honest, swimming wasn't really my thing. I'd try it anyway, it could be fun.

We went off to our separate rooms, to get showered and dressed before dinner. I took the opportunity to think about the last week, and how much I had enjoyed being with Vic today. I knew that I would probably end up friends with him, though I refused to believe it could be anything more, due to the nature of our introduction. How could I ever love someone who stole my life from me?
