I finally have a word for when I am super focused on something fun: hyperfocus!
A few facts you need (and my parents, who don't accommodate for it at all) to know about ADHD:
I don't try to ignore you or misbehave. I actually beat myself up about it on the inside.
Hyperfocus is when I get really focused on something that interests us. I won't even notice someone trying to get my attention unless they tap me on the shoulder or put their hand in front of my face! People sometimes think of ADHDers as selfish because they can only focus on things that interest them, not, you know, the important stuff like homework or chores, but it's not their fault. Normal people can make themselves do that (how? Tell my brain your brain's magic! Please!), but we need lots of motivation.
I can't help it if I forget about something. Sorry! *cringes because I left an important paper at school over break*
I learned that stuff on the ADHD website :)
