Chapter 21

We slowly walked back to the cliff edge how where we going to get back up?
Hawk crouched down and jumped like a frog straight up I blinked was I supposed to do that?
I head Hawk laughing as a length of rope came flying down from above.
"Tie it around yout waist" Hawk said from above.
I did, and then pulled myself up with my hands and legs, as I asended the rope pulled me at the same time, the climb was quite easy going I was near the top when there was a rubble and the whole cave shook, I held on with all my strenth, I looked down the grond below had dissapeard, an empty dark space below, I then heard a sickening snap.
I looked up finding Hawk's eyes with mine the rope he was holding had almost snapped in half, he looked at me dispear on his face. I worked quickly to undo the rope tied to my waist, there was another shake and the rope fell, I held on but my feet came lose. I looked at Hawk again he was trying to reach me with his hand, I managed to place my feet onto a good strong rock and pushed up, I reached up and grasped Hawk's hand we locked togther, the cave shook and rocks fell Hawk pulled me up, I was pulled into the small cave beside him as a huge rock fell and landed just where I had been, I just looked at him, kissed his lips and held him tight to me.
"I got you, your alright" Hawk said, soothing me.
"Thank's to you" I replied, smothering him in kisses
"I don't know what I would of done with out you"
"I am always here" Hawk replied wrapping his arms around my body, his embrace was warm and tender full of love.
"Should we head back?"
"We could, but we would have to stay in the cave"
"Why?"
"Its morning"
"Oh, of course, so what are we going to do?"
"I can think of something" Hawk replied, pulling me close and kissing me his hands rubbing the small of my back. He kissed the right side of neck, and started licking it, I pulled him closer our body's entwined, his right hand moved to my front, and started rubbing the inside of my right thigh just near my secret place sending fire through my body. His mouth found mine and we kissed our tounges meeting at the same time, his other hand was now touching my breast, I let out a sigh, I wanted him so much but not in a place full of bad memory.
"Hawk, I want you, but not here" I said slowly my voice full of longing.
"Your right" Hawk replied, I could hear the longing in his voice to, he held me in his arms and we lay down togther to wait for the night to come.
It was strange, I felt awake and yet Hawk was asleep next to me, I sighed and streached but I just could not sleep, perhaps there was still something human left in me, I slowly got up trying not to disturb Hawk.
"Where are you going" Hawk asked
"I can't sleep, I was going for a walk' I replied
"What if you got lost?"
"I did'nt think about that"
"Your body is not used to sleeping in the day, but it will ajust in time, come sit with me"
Hawk said patting the ground next to him, I went over and slowly sat down, Hawk put his arms around me and pulled me close it was comorting then in a soft voice he started singing, a soft melody a lullaby my body relaxed, my eyes closed and I drifted away, with his song and his voice filling my head, the next thing I heard was a wisper.
"Katie"
A voice calling me, a voice I would know anywhere even if I had died and gone to the otherside, I would know.
"Yes, I am awake" I replied, opening my eyes to see Hawk, smiling his smile, his hand was open I took it and he pulled me up, I kissed him and he hugged me, it felt good to be so alive with him we parted and hand in hand went back to the central chamber more rocks had fallen the whole place was a mess.
"Lets go" I said, ready to leave
"Not yet" Hawk replied
"Why?"
"There is one more place"
"Where?"
The pond that leads to the lake, I have to be sure this never happens again"
I stood in silence, go back to the place I almost died. I looked at Hawk and saw in his eyes he needed me to do this.
"I am with you" I said, giving him a smile.
"Thank you" Hawk replied, kissing my lips, he retied the length of rope and we set off at a fast pace to the pond, the way was blocked and we had to squeese through small gaps but not once did I ask him to slow, I knew he had to make sure all the vampires were gone.
On the way I felt, I was being watched, I turned my head a few times nothing behind us but I still could not shake the feeling, soon enough we reached the waterfall, we both stopped to take a breath.
Hawk looked at me and grinned, he jumped off into the water below and landed with a huge splash, he surfaced and waved.
I took a breath and jumped after him, the water was freezing, I surfaced and swam to the small opening of the cave, Hawk held out a hand and pulled me out of the water.
"Are you sure about this?" Hawk asked
"Not really, but I need to see this through" I replied
Hawk took my hand and we slowly walked into the small cave, the pond was still and quite, but something was different about the place, I just could not explain what was. I looked at Hawk his eyes were wide he looked almost afaid what ever it was, I knew it was bad.
