Chapter 15

The water was rising up me, it was freezing, it was now past my middle and rising fast, I looked over to the entrance and there he was.
"Hawk" I yelled.
My heart raced seeing him, it was so good, he swam up to me and smiled as he took a deep breath and dissapeard under the water, I felt his hands tugging at the rope on my ankles, then on my legs, it felt good to be free, he came back up and breathed out.
"Your almost free, just the middle" Hawk said, taking another breath
"Wait" I said
He stopped and looked at me eyes blazing into mine.
"Thank you, for coming after me"
"I had to"
"No you could of left me"
"I told you, I love you" Hawk said, dissapearing under the waves again, his hands were on my middle and I shiverd at the touch, suddenly the water went above my mouth and nose and I splutterd, Hawk pulled at the rope and I was free, he came up and helped relase my arems from above the rock.
"Are you alright?" Hawk asked
"Yes, I think so" I replied
"Come on lets go"
He swam towards the opening away from the foaming water and the way out.
"Wait!" I shouted, he did not hear and swam on.
I had no choice but to swim away from the way out. We came to the waterfall, Hawk was on a ledge above the water, he held out his hand and pulled me up, I fell into his arms and he held me although I was cold and wet I felt warm.
"Everything alright?" Hawk asked
"Yes, but I still have these" I said, rattling the handcuffs that were around my wrists.
"Let me see" Hawk said, lifting my wrists he yanked hard and the cuffs fell apart my hands were free.
"Thanks, but that was the way out" I pointed to the way we had come.
"I know, we have to wait for the water to subside, if we leave now it would be foolish, we mist wait" Hawk explained
"How long?" I asked, shivering
"Not long, do not worry"
"He got away, there was nothing I could do, what about my other friends?"
"Katie, I don't think they would of survived, there was a cave in after I killed the cheif"
"Oh no, no" I sobbed
"Shh" Hawk said, he wiped my tears from my eyes and kissed them, his eyes met mine they shone brightly he leaned in close and we kissed passonatly, his hands rubbed the small of my back, our tounges met and I felt heat like never before, as we parted our eyes met to my surpise, Hawk had tears rolling down his face.
"Whats wrong?" I asked, worried
"I thought, I had lost you" Hawk replied
"Lost me?"
"When that man took you, I thought he was going to kill you"
I shook my head and reached up to wipe his tears away, they were strange sticky, I took a closer look his tears were blood, I raised the blood to my lips and licked it off swallowing the tears.
"I am stronger than I look" I said
"So I have noticed" Hawk smirked
"There is something I would like to know, the chief knew you how?"
"I had a feeling you would ask that, this won't be easy" Hawk sighed and looked into my eyes
"I need to know" I said, with a smile
"I did not know how to tell you, I an a cheif vampire Katie I have my own people who look to me, but it is far deeper than that I am Lord Hawk high cheif vampire all vampires look to me, I had to do this for my people" Hawk explained
I drew away, frightended
"Don't be afraid of me, when I first saw you I though you were another weak human, but then your sent told me otherwise I know now you are wonderful and beautiful, I love you" Hawk stopped and looked at me, I stared at him shocked at what he told me, Lord Hawk I shook my head, perhaps I should tell him who I was.
"Why did'nt you tell me before?" I asked
"I did'nt want to fighten you, and I was unsure how you would react'
"Yes of course, Hawk I" I found, I could not finish
"I know its alot to take, but I need you, I really need you" Hawk said, new tears rolled down his face, I came back close to him.
"Shh" I said, kissing away the tears taseing the blood, it was sweet like honey, he pulled me close we hugged, his body warming mine. The cave became quite and still no noise to be heard, just our breath, I shiverd against Hawk my skin was still wet, I needed to dry, I was ready to telk him, just at that moment rocks began to fall into the water, the cave was colapsing.
"We must move" Hawk said
"The pool is it safe?" I asked
"We have to risk it or die here"
He held my hand as again we both went into the cold water, more rocks fell we slowly made it back to the cavern there was a lull in the bubbling water it was now or never.
"Think of it like a sink, the water goes round a U- bend and out, it won't be easy but if you hold on to me we can make it" Hawk said, looking at me his eyes blazing into mine, I could trust him.
"I won't let go" I said, squeezing his hand hard
"Take a few deep breaths and on three we go in"
I nodded when we were out I would tell him, I took deep breaths, Hawk held up three fingers, breath, two breath, one in we went into the water, the blackness engulfed us.
