Chapter 25

Hawk opend his eyes Katie had gone. What had happened? He was unsure how that new vampire had done this to him.
He slowly got to his feet, his power was slowly returning he had to find Katie. A scream came from behind him, it was her, he was not stong enough to run yet. A dragging sound reached his ears the other vampire was returning, he slowly moved out of the clearing and waited for power to return. He watched as the one called Max dragged Katie into the clearing and left her, she was out cold just as he had been.
She came around, and looked around, she was looking for him Max spoak to her and she shouted at him. Hawk was unable to hear so he crept silently closer. Max then bound her arms and legs. Hawk became angry he would kill him, Hawk watched as he went to her with a dagger and cut her arm, taking her blood, he watched as Max prepared the orb if he cake close it would take his energy to. Hawk had to watch as he saw when the orb took Katie's last drop of energy left her, she became still and her eyes glazed over, her spark had gone, now he watched as Max untied her leg bonds. Max then cut her clothes leaving her naked and helpless, then he started removing his clothes. That was the last straw, Hawk charged into the clearing with a yell, Max looked at him eyes wide, Hawk charged right into him knocking him backwards towards the fire, he carried on into it, Hawk had built up his sheild so the flames did not harm him, as for Max he was not so fortunate. He left him in the fire to burn. Hawk went over to his beloved Katie, not noticeing as a screaming Max ran out of the flames and into the wood.
"Katie" Hawk said, lifting her into his arms. Her eyes were still glazed and she was cold he slowly took her closer to the fire.
"Katie" Hawk tried again, he thought her lips moved this time that was a good sign.
"Hawk" she wisperd.
"Yes, I am here, I am going timi help you" Hawk said, smiling at her, she managed to nod her head, he gently laid her down and went over to the glowing orb, Hawk had never seen anything like this before even in his long life, how did it work?
He did not know he needed a soulution and fast or else Katie would die.

I was on the edge of darkness on the very presipis. Yet I heard a voice, a faint voice it wisperd my name. It had to be Hawk, I took a step away but the edge stayed where it was, the voice came again, this time I found myself and managed to wisper his name, before returning to the edge.
I could hear him, telling me it was going to be alright I felt my head nod, I was getting through just, but without my power I knew I would lose, I would fall forever . I managed to blink and I saw him smiling that smile and holding the orb in his hands had he figured it out,
He frowned and put it down, no, I felt it roll up against my hand and Hawk was crying he had given up.
I could'nt bare to see Hawk cry, I wanted to tell him everything would be alright. I could see him as he moved to his pack, he pulled out his great sword, what was he doing? He came over to me again.
"We'll be togther soon" I heard him say, he thought I was gone, but I was not. I knew what his plan was. I tried to say something but my lips refused to move, my hand did it was now touching the orb, I felt stronger not much but stronger, the power was flowing back in to me, Hawk was breathing heavily and his tears still flowed, he looked at me and put his hand on my cheek.
"I am coming" Hawk said
"Don't" I croaked
"Katie, is it really Katie?" Hawk seemed confused he shook his head, he thought it was not real.
"Hawk, listen I am alive" I said, my voice stonger.
"Your just my imajination" Hawk said, bringing the sword close to his heart, my right hand shot up grabbing his.
"No, I am alive" I said.
"Oh my Katie!" Hawk had realised
"Now, put that sword down" I said, grinning with my hand in his, he slowly put dowb his sword, I looked to the orb the glow had almost gone.
"I really thought" Hawk began
"Me to, I was nearly but when I touched the orb my power came back" I said
"Good thing it did"
"Very, I can't believe you were going to" I could not finish
"I said, I would never leave you"
I had no reply, I sighed. I looked at the orb no glow left my power had been restored, I slowly sat up and breathed it was over at last.
"I'll help you up" Hawk said, holding out his hand, I took it and I slowly got to my feet, I was a bit shaky but it soon stopped, I then hugged Hawk.
"Easy" Hawk kissed my cheek
"I love you" I said, pulling back slightly to face him.
"As I love you" Hawk said, he kissed my lips with a warm hot kiss, I returned it with a kiss of my own.
"I will always, love you" I said after the kiss, looking him in the eyes and holding his hand.
"I will always love you, Katie now and forever" Hawk replied, holding me in a warm embrace, I felt tears roll down my face, so I burried it in his shoulder, he curled his hand around my hair, I pulled up slightly only to see a very bad sight.
"Oh no" I moaned
"What?" Hawk questioned
"The dawn" I nodded in the ditection of the sun rise, Hawk turned suddenly and gasped.
"Now what?" I asked
"I, don't know" Hawk stammerd, he was truly afraid.
"Your sheild"
"Won't last" Hawk said, shaking his head, and turning to face me.
"So this is it?"
"At least we have each other" Hawk said, opening his arms, I went to him.
"After all we have been through, this is how it ends"
"It' so sad" Hawk, hugged me.
"I don't want to see" I said, pressing into him.
"Nor do I"
"Then look at me" I said, tilting my head up to look at him, as he tilted his head down to look at me our eyes locked, I could feel the suns heat begin to grow on my back, and tears fell, I closed my eyes and waited. I waited for something anything, nothing is this what death was, a world of nothing, I squinted Hawk was there he to had, his eyes closed.
I opended my eyes fully the sun was high in the sky and yet here we both were, I shook Hawk.
"Hawk we are alive!" I yelled
"What?" Hawk questioned, as his eyes sprang open.
"We are alive!" I yelled again, kissing him on the lipd, he returned it with a passion.
"How?" Hawk asked when we parted.
"Who cares, we are alright"
"I would like to know" Hawk said, picking up the orb.
"You think it had something to do with that?"
"Maybe, but like you say we are alright" Hawk said, kissing my lips and using his tounge to find mine.
I wrapped my right hand around his neck and brought him close, and with my left hand I rubbed his naked back. Hawk wrapped his arms around my body, placing one hand on my arse and squessing it, I had forgotten I was naked.
I pulled closer, I could feel his hardness next to me and I squeesed his arse in return. He pulled away slightly our kiss stopped he closed his eyes, I smiled and stood still.
