Rhett opened his eyes and looked around, he quickly realized where he was. At Link's place. Little strips of sunlight came in through the curtains and hit the floor. Rhett heard the radio softly whispering its music from the kitchen and he quickly got out of bed, put his socks and belt on and walked out to the kitchen. Link was still asleep. Rhett looked around for a clock or something, the digital indicator on the stove showed 8:43 am. Rhett sighed happily and sat down at the table. It felt like the night before wasn't so bad, even though he had his boss yelling behind his back basically all night. When Link introduced himself something clicked, he felt that Link was actually a nice person. A person who didn't care if he jumped off collage or not. Rhett looked out into the rain-kissed streets outside the window until the door across the room and out came a newly awaken Link. He was dressed in his PJ pants and a t-shirt, his hair was all messy and he squinted his eyes when the sun from the window hit his face.
" Morning. " Rhett smiled.
Link smiled back and sat down at the table on the chair across from Rhett.
" Slept well? " He asked.
" Better than I've done in a long time, you? "
" You know, pretty good. Can't complain. "
Link kept squinting his eyes and smiling.
" Want some breakfast? I don't have a lot to afford, is peanut butter toast, cereal and tea okay with you? Or do you want coffee? "
" Nah, I don't drink coffee. And toast? Sure, I'm not much of a cereal person. "
Link smiled and stepped up from his chair, he started taking out food, cups and alike from the cabinets.
" Listen, I think I've thought enough about this moving in thing. " Rhett smirked a little.
" Really? You have? " Link smirked back.
" I don't find a reason to not move in. I mean, work'll be a lot closer. " Rhett mumbled, smiling shyly.
" Exactly. "
" Looks like I know what I'm doing today. Going home to pack all my stuff up. "
Link smiled.
" Listen, I don't think you should stay at The Duck. We need some people at my place of work, and I think you're the perfect person. "
Rhett swallowed loudly, from how Link reacted when he talked about stealing gold jewelry he had no idea what Link worked as.
" What do you work with? "
" Let's just say I am this towns Robin Hood, I just don't give to the poor. I just take from the rich. "
Rhett had always kinda had a tendency to steal stuff, like when he was a kid and stole candy and cookie from his older brother. But no one had ever noticed, he always got a way without being accused a single time. But he never put it into action and just kept it as a small thing he did as a kid. Rhett smiled.
" You work as a thief? Please don't tell me you're a robber. "
" Not really, I tend to keep things nice and quiet. "
The smile on Rhett face got wider.
" That's a good thing. I'll talk to my boss tomorrow, let them know I'm not going there again. "
" Really? Man you're quick on deciding what you wanna do. " Link turned around and smirked.
" Anything but what I'm doing right now. "
