" Three... two... one. " Brett and Sink mumbled and locked hands with each other and Rhett and Link.
The four men stayed still for an extended period of time, nothing seemed to happen. They just stayed there, eyes closed, not moving an inch. Suddenly, a bright light flashed through out the room, and for a short period of time, everybody in LA and North Carolina who had ever seen Rhett and Link and knew them by that name froze. Time seemed to stay still on earth for a few minutes, no one moved, no one did... anything. And quickly, everything was exchanged in a matter of minutes. Rhett got Brett's memories and experiences, same thing goes with Link and Sink.
Everyone was exchanged in one way or another. But why you may ask? Well, it's as simple as that, the lightning didn't only screw up Brett and Sink/Rhett and Link. It screwed up so much more. People who'd been at power for years, not deserving one ounce of it were exchanged, people who sat in prison for things they didn't do, were exchanged. Everything was in one way or another restored to it once so ever glorious state...
