The next morning Rhett woke up by his shoulder bumping into the wall. The truck was moving and he was bouncing around in his bed. Link sat at the drivers seat, rushing down the highway. It's was a beautiful summer morning, sunshine came in through the open window.
" How're you doing? " Link smiled, keeping his eyes fixated on the road. " There's some breakfast crackers in the fridge for ya. "
Rhett sat up, rubbing his tired, puffy eyes. He yawned and pulled a white t-shirt over his head, got up and sat down in the seat next to Link.
" How long you've been up? "
" About two hours, since something like 6,30. I'm an early bird you know. "
Rhett smiled, leaning back at the seat, looking at the warm asphalt flashing in front of the car, each line quickly dissapearing underneath them and being replaced by another one.
" We should be LA by lunch time. " Link smiled, slowly speeding up the vehicle a little. " At least according to the GPS. "
" It hasn't let us down yet hasn't it. "
Rhett got some crackers from the fridge, and slowly ate them while still rushing down the roads. He was a little nervous about meeting Brett and Sink. What if they wouldn't like them? What if they would hate Rhett and Link because of who they were? Maybe they didn't even know who they were, and if that was the case it'd stay that way. Forever...
