I woke up by Locke jumping on my stomach. He giggled when I wrapped my arm around him and gave him a light nuggie.
" Come on dad! It's breakfast! " He said, jumping off the bed and running down the hallway.
" I'll be right there. " I said, rolling out of bed and pulling a pair of PJ-pants.
Every thing felt so fresh and new this morning. The air felt so much fresher, so did the sunlight coming in trough the window and the smell of coffee coming from the kitchen. I took a few deep breaths in, squinting from the sun hitting my face. I had never felt so refreshed from just a good night's sleep.
I walked down to the kitchen where I embraced my wife and gave her a soft kiss.
" You seemed to have had a good night's sleep sweetie. " She smiled and gently swung around the kitchen, holding on around my neck with her arm.
" Indeed I did. I feel so refreshed it's ridiculous. " I chuckled, sitting down at the table.
Later the same morning I heard Link's car honking in my driveway. After checking that I actually had my phone, wallet and all that stuff I left the house.
" Hey, what's with the superbright smile? " Link smiled when I joined him in the car.
" I just felt so good this morning, and that feeling haven't subsided so far. "
" Glad to hear that. Feeling refreshed are ya? " He asked.
" Yeah I do. I feel like today's gonna be a great day. "
" Totally agree with you brother, a brand new, refreshing day. Full of opportunities, interacting with the mythical beast, giving them even more of the content they know and love. " He smiled, focusing on the road.
I knew this was gonna be a great day. Just like any other day where I knew I'd spend time with my best friend and family, doing what I love...
