"Davey, seriously, I need to find a way to get back to that hospital." I told him defeatedly. Since my ex, that nurse was the only person who stood up to me like that. I was pretty sure that if we would have continued arguing, she would have really been cussing me out.

"You know there's other ways to meet girls than to injur yourself...or one of us." Davey said as he set up the area to tattoo his three o'clock appointment.

"But not her, I'm telling you, she's the one who I want."

"You only knew her for five minutes!"

"So?" I questioned him, knowing he was right. Then again, with my past luck with relationships, she could be like the others. I didn't know her name or anything, and yet I couldn't keep her out of my mind. I had mad respect for her. Wonderful nurse and probably an even more amazing person.

"Sorry, Davey, but your three o'clock appointment is here." The receptionist said.

"Tell her I'm almost ready for her, just finsihing up something personal."

"Sure thing." She said before going out to the girl.

"Davey, that's her, and oh my god does she look amazing." I said dumbfoundedly.

"You're not going to crush on someone who I'm tattooing."

"I won't." I said before doing the honors myself to lead her back. She looked stunning with her baby blue corset and kapris. She was enough to knock the breath out of anyone, even I didn't notice I was at a lost of words and couldn't get her to look up from her notebook. She wrote...she couldn't be anymore perfect.

"Amanda?" Davey said from behind me and it was then that I noticed I had been gawking at her and making a complete fool of myself.

"Yeah?" She asked with a sweet voice. Damn, she wasn't faking anything when she had taken care of me.

"I'm ready if you are, and sorry about my friend over here."

"Oh, it's no problem." She said as if she didn't even notice who I was. "Hi.." She said with a nervious giggle as she walked passed me.

"H-h-h-h-" I stuttered like a complete idiot.

"That's Ashes' language for hi, how are you?" Davey said with a snicker.

"I'm fine. And A-A-A-" She took a deep breath, obviously trying to keep her own cool. "Ashes, you don't need to stutter. I-I-" Another deep breath. "I'm just me, nothing special."

"Then I don't want to know what special is if it isn't you." I said without thinking and mentally beat myself for it as I followed her.

"Do you mind him being here?" Davey asked.

"Nope, not at all."

"Okay, good. And I know you said this was my choice on where to put it, I was thinking your back?"

"I'd say yes but I may break you if you touch my back."

"Let me try? If anything Ashes can distract you."

Yeah, thanks. Make me look like more of an idiot. I thought to myself, but just smiled and nodded. I'd get to attempt the whole talking thing again at least.

"Alright...you can try but if I fidgt just from the tracer being put on, you have to change it." She said stubbornly.

"Deal." Davey said and she was right, causing Davey to resize the drawing for the right side of her chest.

"So..what's the tattoo?" I asked.

"It's the tripple goddess symbol with the nursing symbol underneath it. It's everything that keeps me whole."

"Really?"

"Yep, my dieties have kept me grounded in so many ways and I've always wanted to be a nurse." She said as she laid on her back.

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why nursing."

"Well...why do you play for Davey? Why the guitar?" She asked.

"It's my release. My passion. I couldn't imagine doing anything else." I told her truthfully.

"Then you know my why. I've always had peircings and then my tattoos, in PA the nurses would tell me I was lying about my fear of needles. I want to be that nurse that shows I understand."

"Well you're amazing at it." I said before Davey came back and started to outline the tattoo.

"Still attempting to flirt?" He asked in a smart ass kind of way.

"Shut up." I responded.

"So..you write?" Davey asked Amanda.

"Yep, but none of it is really any good." She said.

"Why do you say that?" I asked her.

"Because, I'm the writter. The only really awesome thing I do is my nursing."

Oh, I'm sure that's not all. I thought and grabbed a chair to sit down. Yeah, I was being a typical man as I checked her out and watched Davey tattoo her. Nobody could lie, she had a really nice chest and body. Not to mention her hair looked like it was extremely smooth to wrap fingers into and...

"Hey, Ashes, you know she's asking you a question. Look at the main floor, dude." Davey said and I could feel my cheeks turn completely red.

"S-sorry, what?" I asked stupidly.

Her laugh was like the sound of angels. "I asked how long you've been playing."

"Umm...about ten years, my cousin bought me my first guitar at the age of ten."

"Nice."

"Yep." I said nervously as Davey finished her tattoo, which ended up looking really good on her.

"Looks amazing!" Amanda said as she looked into the mirror and Davey put the cling wrap over it. "I'll see you both at the show tonight! Still can't believe you guys said yes to playing at the college."

"Oh, that was you?" Davey asked.

"Yeah, I'm the one who was a pain in the ass and manage to find the suicide nation at the school."

"Cool, then let's say that tatt is $25, you got us a really good gig."

"Are you sure? This is worth so much more!"

"Yeah, I'm sure. Besides, it'll be entertainment for all of us to see red face over there stutter during our signing." Davey said with a laugh.

"Asshole." I said with crossed arms, which she apparently found hillarious.

"Okay, then here you go, Davey. See you all in a few hours." She said before handing over what was obviously more than twenty five bucks and ran out of the shop.
