There was no point in trying to lie to her and say that it wasn't true, I did leave her side. However, I knew full well my brothers would call me out on the lie. "How did you know?" I asked softly.

"After I left...I started to have nightmares. I could remember some conversations from around me and how peaceful it was to visit the other side." She said calmly, refusing to look anywhere but the placemates. "You would say things in spanish...though I still have no idea what any of it meant, but that's when I'd wake up crying. Point is.."

"You're miserable." Becca finished for her. The way Amanda's head snaped up to look at her sister told me that it was true. "You're miserable here and you know it. You belong in California where we can go to the beach everyday and go ride horses whenever we want. You belong with us and you know it, no matter how anyone wants to suger coat it around here."

"¿Por qué no acaba de echarla en el maletero? Todo depende de ella .." I mumbled under my breath (("Why not just throw her in the trunk? It's up to her..")

"Ashes!" Dray and Kayla yelled at me.

"What?" I asked, almost forgetting they could understand me with no problems.

"You're right, it's her choice, but admit it, you're being way too nice saying exactly what you're thinking." Kayla said with crossed arms.

Amanda started to laugh a little. "Damn, Kay, getting feisty?" Kayla had only nodded. I took a sip of my drink, biting my tongue before her sister decided to start translating everything I said.

"You know me better than that."

"True that." I didn't let go of Amanda's hand, this was too much of a dream, I didn't think she'd even say yes to coming out with us, even if someone threatened to force her to. "So, where are y'all staying tonight?"

"A motel 6 down the road." I told her.

"No, cancel those reservations. I managed to get my dad to make the basement a finished basement because Lexy has been having a ton of people over. It's like a college dorm room with about eight beds."

"Are you sure?" I asked softly.

"Yes, I want you to stay. I mean..." Her face went bright red and I couldn't help but cuckle a little. She reminded me of the first time I had ever laid eyes on her. It was like she'd even forgotten everyone else was around.

"We know...you want us too but mainly him." Becca stated.

"I'm not even gonna try to lie." Amanda told her and reached for the desert menu.

"Nice Farewell tatt, when did you get it done?" I asked curiously.

"A month ago. The guy wanted to do the Davey tattoo but I told him my normal artist wouldn't be happy."

"That's true, Davey is mighty picky with who does all of our tattoos."

"I know, and if Purdy is going to do my BVB one, Davey's got to do his band's."

"Wait..what am I getting in trouble for this time?" The entire table busted out laughing, knowing he wasn't paying attention to the small chit chat going on around the table.

"Being too picky." Dray said after a minute.

"Oh..yeah, well, I don't do covers so it better be right the first time."

"Not true, you did mine." Amanda teased.

"That's besides the point, it needed the cover and it looks totally awesome now." Davey told her. After we ate, we went back to Amanda's place. Looking around, you could tell that she had a hand in doing the room. The walls were pink and purple, making me assume Lexy had also helped; the beds around were all singles but everyone who wanted to sleep together had just pushed the beds together. On the one wall was a small TV and by it an iHome. Except for the pink, I liked it.

"Night." I heard from behind me and I turned around quickly.

"Buenas noches y dulces sueños, mi amor." I whispered as she wraped her arms around me. (("Goodnight and sweet dreams, my love."))

"Recuerde .. Siempre estaré a tu lado." I had to smile, she really was trying to learn, even though it was clear she was unsure if she was saying her words correctly. (("Remember..I'll always be by your side")) "Did I say that right by the way?"

"Yes, when did you start learning Spanish?"

"About a month ago." She admitted and I kissed the top of her head.

"Rest, I can tell you're tired. I promise to be here when you wake up." I would soon find that it was the first night she fell asleep so quickly and I was happy about that. At least I knew she was going to be alright and we slowly started texting the way we used to. Maybe there was a chance of everything turning out alright and maybe I could get lucky for her to come back to California.
