Nani POV

"So what is this again?"

"Senior conference day. It's like a college fair. A bunch of college come and set up tables in the cafeteria, you can ask them questions to help decide where you wanna go."

Cali was explaining to me what was going on at school tommorow.

"Seems pretty cool. Do you know where you want to go?" I asked, placing a fry in my mouth.

"I've been looking into UCLA. How about you?"

"NYU." I smiled, thinking of back home. The Texas life was not for me, the south is so different then up East.

"So, you're leaving me?" Cali pouted, causing me to laugh.

"Don't look at it as me leaving you. We can always keep in touch." I suggested.

Out of all this, I could say that Cali was a true friend. She was always there for me, she listens, and she accepts me for who I am.

"Whatever. Anyways, are you ready for the game on Tuesday?"

"I was born ready." I smile, thinking of the basketball game we would be dancing at.

"Did you hear that Melissa is doing auditions to dance with us?" Cali asked, causing me to roll my eyes.

"That should be interesting."

"I hope nothing bad happens."

"If it does, it will be her fault. I already choked the piss out of her ass, she should know that I have a bad temper and not to mess with me."

Since the whole Jacob situation, my temper has gotten much worse. The littlest things pissed me off. It's even caused tension between my mom and I. I really needed to work on it.

"If she doesn't know by now, I'm sure she'll know soon."

"Woww! TSU, Sam Houston, and UT Austin? Texas has some nice ass colleges." Cali mumbled as we walked into the busy cafeteria.

"Yeah, I've heard a lot about Sam Houston." I look around at the all of the colleges. "Where do you want to look first?"

Cali points to a gold and purple table, smiling.

"LSU?" I laugh a little. "You think you could survive there?"

Cali ran her hands through her blonde hair, smiling. "Yeah, c'mon let's go!" She grabbed my hand as we ran over to the table.

"Hello ladies." A young man that looked no older than 23 smiled at us. He flashed his pearly white teeth. "I'm Marcus, what can I help you with today?"

"Hi, Marcus. We're just looking." I smile.

Cali nudged me and hinted to her right, causing me to turn my head.

In walks Jacob and Melissa, smiling and holding hands. Jacob doesn't see me yet, but Melissa does. She makes sure to wink at me before making her way to the table next to us.

I turn back to Marcus, who is staring at me.

"Is something wrong?" I ask shyly.

"No, you're just really attractive." He flashes me those white ass teeth again and as hard as I try to fight it, I blush, trying to hide my face. All the while, I feel Jacob staring a hole into the side of my face.

I fifth the urge to turn and look at him, because I know his deep brown eyes, or dark soft lips will make me miss him. And that's something I don't want to feel.
