Opening night is here. I have been working my backside off for the last two and a half weeks; I am so ready for this. Everyone has been pleased with my dedication and hard work after unexpectedly having to take over as leading lady when Annabella had a nervous breakdown in rehearsal. I have made friends with all the cast, they are awesome. I am standing backstage trying to compose myself, I am so nervous I've already thrown up twice.
Alex who is playing the part of the three main male characters- it sounds ridiculous that he is playing three characters but it actually works well- comes over; we have worked closely together, trying to build up a believable bond in a short space of time. "Emily, breathe, look at me. You're going to be fine, don't even think about the audience imagine it's just me and you, I know you can do this. You don't realise how talented you are, believe me this is going to be awesome. Let's go out there and give them something they will never forget" he says kissing my cheek and taking my hand, leading me outside to the press.
There is that opening night buzz in the air and everyone is feeling it, the cast have to pose for photos, Alex and I have to do interviews. I surprise myself with how calm and collected I sound, I come across like a seasoned professional rather than the nervous newcomer I really am. This is all part of the territory so I have to get used to it but I know I handled my first time extremely well. I didn't want any of my family or friends to come see me in my dressing room before curtain up, they all sent me beautiful flowers though which made me feel special. I know they are probably in the private bar right now enjoying a drink. Only Nathan knows I have the lead role, I wanted to surprise everyone else; they think I am just part of the ensemble. I look in the mirror one last time, I still don't recognise myself in a blonde wig, I had to strip the purple and go back to my natural brown hair. I haven't seen Nathan since I had it done which was three days ago, I hope he likes it. There is a knock on my door letting me know it's the final curtain call, it's time for my 'West End' debut.
The lights are hot and bright so you can't really see the audience. As soon as I stepped on stage my nerves disappeared, I am pumped with pure adrenaline and giving it my all. I can't believe how fast it goes, the interval is here; I am half way through my first performance already. The audience, have been brilliant I've been told sometimes you can get a shit audience but that's certainly not the case tonight. I am completely in awe of the reaction we get when we take our final bow, everything ran like clockwork. The sound and lighting, were spot on; the orchestra sounded fantastic, the backstage crew were amazing and all the cast were on point, I am so honoured to be a part of this. As soon as the curtains close I am hoisted high in the air by some of the boys, everyone is on a high congratulating each other for a job well done, I make my way to the dressing room, Alex follows me in. "I told you, there was nothing to worry about, I knew you could do it Emily. Just make sure you bring the same energy for every performance and we will be on to a winner" he says taking my hand and gently kissing it, right at the moment that Nathan and the gang burst into my dressing room. "Hi guys this is Alex. Alex, this is my boyfriend Nathan and my family" I say. "Lovely to meet you all, I will leave you to celebrate with your family Emily, see you tomorrow and well done again" he says before slipping out the door. I am so thrilled to see them all standing in my dressing room. "Why didn't you tell us you are playing the lead?" my Nan demands "I wanted it to be a surprise. So what did you all think? How did I do?"
Its surreal sitting here listening to all their praise, I could never take this for granted. Life changes so quickly so I plan to enjoy every moment of this experience. They want to take me out to celebrate, I can't have a late night; tomorrow is another day. I pull off my wig and there is a sharp intake of breath in the room from everyone except my Nan who has already seen my hair. "Emily, where is your purple hair?" Ali asks. "I couldn't keep it, they stripped it out a few days ago don't you like it?"
"It looks brilliant just really different, Toots" Evie says. "Yeah it looks fabulous, it's just you've had purple hair for so long" Ali says "Well, I love it" Nathan pipes up from where he is sitting. I flash him a smile and he walks over snaking his arm around my waist. I need to change so Nathan and I agree to meet everyone in the restaurant up the road. He closes the door and locks it, turning to look at me. "You are amazing you know that. I loved every minute you were on stage and I really do like your hair, you look sexy and mysterious" he says closing the distance between us. "Unzip me" I whisper. He turns me round and gently tugs the zipper of my dress down; I hang it up and peel off my stage tights. "Come, sit" I demand. He comes over to the couch and I straddle him, kissing his neck, he cups my behind in his hands, I help him slip out of his blazer and unzip his trousers, we don't have time to be slow and sensual so I unbutton his boxers freeing his erection and pull my thong to one side, I am wet enough for him to slide right in. I grip the back of the couch for support as he slams up into me, grabbing his hair in one hand I pull his head back and kiss him as I bounce as fast as I can, he unclips my bra and places his hands on either side of my hips so he can watch my boobs bounce around, he watches me closely as he brings me to the peak of my climax and slams into me again making me cry out, pulling me close to him he gets his release and spills himself inside me. I jump up quick to clean myself, when I come back he is still sitting there with his head back on the couch. "That was unbelievable charms, it was so exciting the thought that someone might knock on the door and catch us" he says "I know, get dressed or the others will wonder where we have got to" I say kissing him before pulling my clothes on.Outside the theatre I am surprised to see people waiting for pictures and autographs I spend about fifteen minutes with the small crowd, I would hate to disappoint fans. Nathan takes my hand. "Come on, my little star let's eat"
