Chapter 9

It's been 2 days since I've talked, hurt and seen Thalia. I miss seeing her and talking to her. I've been eating lunch by myself and I don't talk to anyone but Cece when she tells me news on Thalia. I've been isolating myself from everyone. I just want my Thalia back.

Thalia's POV

It's been 2 days since I've gone to school or talked to Dylan. 2 days since he hurt me. I never stayed home during those 2 days; instead I went to my horse barn and rode Petey getting ready for my horse show. Tyler's been getting all my homework for me so I'm not behind. But my parents are making me go to school tomorrow. It was the deal we had, I could stay home for 3 days but on the 4th day I had to go back to school.

*Next Day*

Today is the day I have to go back to school. I get out of bed and decide to wear something comfy instead of trying to look decent. I grab my dad's sweater I stole from him and put on my roots track pants. I decide not to wear makeup today. Tyler drives us to school and when we get there I put my hood on and headphones in. I'm only doing this so I don't have to hear what people say, and so no one notices me.

I get to my locker and grab my stuff. But that's when I notice my books in my locker. No one knows my combination but Tyler and Dylan, and I dropped my book the day Dylan hurt me. I shove my book in my bag and head to English.

When I get to English there's a note on my desk. I put it in my bag to read it later.

Dylan's POV

She came to school today. I saw her but she didn't see me. She's not looking at anyone; I understand why though. I want to run up to her and hug her but she doesn't want to talk to me. I miss her so much. My eyes are red and puffy I haven't bothered to brush my hair or try with my outfits. Whenever I get a text I automatically think it's from her. I screwed up and I have to show her that I love her and no one else

but how.

I wrote a note and put it on her desk in English and one in her book.

*Lunch*

Its lunch and I have no idea where to eat my lunch for the past 3 days I've been eating in the English stairwell but Thalia will probably be there and I know she doesn't want to see me. So I decide to hang out with Tyler and Cece. Tyler was mad at first that I hurt his sister but then I explained what really happened and he said that he will forgive me but he knows Thalia won't unless I can convince her too.

"Hey Tyler, Hey Cece", I say when I see them.

"Hey Dylan, how are you doing now that Thalia is back?" Tyler asks me.

"Terrible. Every time I see her I want to run up to her and hug her", I say almost crying.

"I'm sure she will forgive you eventually you just have to prove you love her", Cece tells me.

"Yeah I guess you're right", I say looking down. I need to prove to Thalia I love her, I can't stand to be without her.

For the rest of the lunch period I hang out with Tyler and Cece. They talk to each other and I just sit there thinking what lunch would be like if I was with Thalia.

During my last period I think of a way to get Thalia back and I know the perfect way.

*That night*

I'm at Thalia's house ready to go through with my plan. I throw a rock at her window because I know she's in there since I see the light on in her room.

"What do you want", Thalia says from her window

"I want to talk to you, please Thalia", I beg her.

"Fine you have five minutes", she tells me.

"Okay but can you come down here?" I ask.

"Fine", she says and walks downstairs and outside where I am.
