Chapter 26

Dylan's POV

We are packing up Parker's cottage and heading back home today. It was nice spending Christmas here. It's so beautiful l and I loved getting to know my girlfriend's family more.

"Dylan, you all packed up?" My mom asks.

"Yes mom", I respond.

Just then I feel someone hug me from behind. I tense up at first but then I relax recognizing the person's scent.

"This has been an awesome time here at the cottage with you here. Usually, I'm bored out of my mind", Thalia says from behind me.

"I had a fun time princess. It was nice getting to know your family more and spending time with you", I tell her as I turn around to face her.

She's still just as beautiful as the day I met her. I can't believe how far we have come since that day in the hallway. I stare into her beautiful hazel eyes. I couldn't help myself anymore so I lean down and kiss her.

"I love you so much", I say to her.

"I love you so much more", she responds.

"Not possible", I say to her.

"Possible", she counters.

Before I could counter her, Tyler calls from downstairs "Hurry up love birds. We're leaving"

"I guess we better go", I say as I reach for her hand.

"I guess so", she says and takes my hand in hers.

*Time laps*

We're finally back home. We take everything out of the car and as we are I think of something fun to do with Thalia since this is our last week of winter break.

"Hey, princess want to go somewhere?" I ask her.

"Sure", she replies.

We get into my car and start driving to a mall that is a little further away than the one where we usually go too. Once we get there, I take Thalia to the build a bear shop there.

"Really Dylan. Build-a-Bear?" She asks.

"Yes", I respond proudly.

I take her hand and we walk into build-a-bear. As soon as we enter the store I can tell Thalia is really excited.

"You can choose any build-a-bear and any clothes, my treat", I tell her.

"Thank you Dylan", She responds and hugs me.

I smile and let her go to pick out the build-a-bear she wants. She picks out a really cute one with hearts all over it.

"That's the one you want?" I ask her.

"Yes please", She says back.

"Okay then let's build the bear", I say to her.

We walk to the building station to start building it. When it's time to put the heart in I take the heart from Thalia and do everything they tell me to do. I then put the heart into the bear. The whole time I was doing it she was looking at me with a weird look.

"Why did you do it, if it's my bear?" She asks me.

"So you know that I'll always love you", I respond.

"Awe Dylan, you're really sweet", She tells me.

They stitch up the bear and we go to put an outfit on it. While we are picking out the outfit some random guy comes up to us and talks to Thalia.

"Hey Pretty girl, want to go on a date sometime?" He asks.

"No thanks, I already have a boyfriend", She responds politely.

"He won't have to know, it could be our secret", He tells her.

"Actually he would know", I say to him.

"How would he know?" He asks.

"I'm her boyfriend", I respond.

Once I say that the guy just walks away. We finish dressing up the bear and then we go and get a certificate for it.

"What are you going to name your bear?" I ask her.

"Hmmmm. I think I want to name the bear Dalia", She tells me.

"Dalia? Why Dalia?" I ask her.

"Its Dylan and Thalia put together", She responds.

"Awe that's cute", I tell her and then I kiss her cheek.

We finish making the certificate and then go pay for the bear. When we leave the store we are both pretty hungry so we go and get some dinner since we had lunch on the drive home from her cottage.

"What would you like princess?" I ask.

"Chicken Nuggets", She responds happily.

"Of course you do", I respond. We walk to get food. Once Thalia has her chicken nuggets and I have my burger we sit down and eat.

"Thank you Dylan", I hear Thalia say quietly.

"What for?" I ask.

"For being at my cottage for Christmas, taking me here, buying me food and a build-a-bear and being the best boyfriend ever", She tells me.

"You don't have to thank me for all those things princess, I do all those things because I love you so very much", I say and I see her blush and smile.

We finish eating and then go home, Thalia falls asleep on the car ride back which I don't blame her it was a very long day. When we get back to her house she's still asleep so I carry her inside and up into her room. Once I'm in her room I tuck her into bed careful not to wake her and put Dalia in her arms. As I'm about to leave I hear someone call my name really quietly.

"Dylan", Thalia says.

"Yes princess?" I ask.

"Stay with me?" She asks.

"Always", I respond and get into her bed with her.

She snuggles close to me with her bear and I wrap my arms around her watching her sleep as I fall asleep.
