Chapter 17

Dylan's POV

Thalia and I finished our lunch in peace. I kept smiling at her because she was so beautiful. I can't wait to ask her to prom. I still haven't figured out the perfect way to ask her but I know I want to ask her.

I'm in English right now bored out of my mind. I don't like English at all I prefer Science. But this is my last English class before Winter Break.

*Time Laps*

The school day ended and I'm waiting for Thalia at her locker. When I see her walk around the corner, I chuckle because of course she has her headphones in and is reading her book. When she gets to her locker she smiles at me and I smile back. She takes out her headphones and closes her book.

"Hey", She says to me.

"Hey, I was wondering what you were doing tonight?" I ask.

"Nothing why?" She asks.

"I'm taking you miss out on a date", I say smiling.

"Okay", She says smiling back.

She grabs her stuff and I take her hand as we walk to my car. Her small hand fits perfectly in mine. While we drive home Thalia plays music from her phone and she automatically plays "The Way I Was" by Jem and the Holograms since she's obsessed with this song.

I hear her voice singing along and I can't help but smile. Once she realizes I can hear her she stops singing.

"Don't stop princess", I say smiling at her.

"I don't want to hurt your ears", She responds.

"You aren't, you're amazing", I tell her.

"You really think so?" She asks, clearly unsure if I'm lying or not.

"Yes I really think so", I say to her.

After I respond silence comes upon us, but it's not awkward at all. Its peaceful you are still able to hear the music in the background but other than that it's almost dead quiet.

We get to her house and I lead her to her doorstep.

"See you tonight Princess", I say.

"What time are you picking me up?" She asks.

"7", I say.

"Okay, see you at 7 then", She says. Then she turns around to open her door but I spin her around to face me again.

"Forgetting something", I ask.

"No I don't think so", She says jokingly.

"I think you did", I say and then I kiss her.

Once we pull away she goes inside her house and I go back to my car and drive home. I don't have any homework so I just sit around watching TV before I have to go change and then get Thalia for our date.

Thalia's POV

After Dylan drops me at my house I run into my room and figure out what to wear on my date with him. I find the perfect outfit and then go into my bathroom to do my hair and makeup. I curl my hair and put on a tiny bit of makeup then I put on my outfit.

I check the time when I'm done it's 6:55pm so I sit on my bed and play on my phone until I hear the doorbell ring and walk downstairs.
