Chapter 19

Thalia's POV

*Next morning*

I wake up and memories of last night's date flood into my brain. I smile at all the memories. I get up and put my riding clothes on, I walk downstairs to find Tyler waiting for me. I grab a muffin and head outside to his car with him following me.

We drive to our barn in silence listening to music. When we get there I get out and get Petey, just as I'm about to brush him my coach comes up to me and tells me that for today's lesson I'll be riding one of the new horses.

I put Petey away and go to find the horse I'm riding. I tack up the horse and put my helmet on and head out to the arena.

The lesson was going good until the horse spooked at something and bucked causing me to fall off but instead of me landing on my butt I handed and hit my head off the ground.

My coach goes to catch the horse and Tyler comes to me.

"Thalia are you okay??" He asks clearly worried but I didn't respond, I blacked out.

Tyler's POV

Thalia just blacked out and I called 911, the ambulance came and then I called my family and lastly Dylan.

*Phone conversation with Dylan*

"Dylan you need to get to the hospital now", I partially scream into the phone.

"What happened?" He asked worriedly.

"Its Thalia she was riding a new horse and he bucked she fell off and then she blacked out", I tell him.

"I'm on my way", He said clearly upset that something happened to Thalia.

*End of phone conversation with Dylan*

I'm at the hospital right now pacing in the waiting room waiting for everyone to come.

5 minutes later my parents and Charlie come in with worried expressions on their faces, after them Dylan comes in.

"Is she okay?" Is the first thing he asks when he sees me.

"I have no idea they took her to a different room to do some tests as soon as we got here", I explain to him.

*Time laps*

We have been at the hospital for an hour. Everyone is getting really worried then all of a sudden a doctor comes out.

"Are you here for Thalia Parker?" The Doctor asks all of us, and we nod yes.

"She is fine she just has memory loss it should come back in a week or so", He informs us.

"When can we go and see her?" Dylan asks.

"Follow me and I will take you to her room", The Doctor says to us, and he starts to walk to her room.

We follow him in silence and when we enter Thalia's room, she's asleep in the hospital bed so we all stay silent and wait for her to wake up.

Thalia's POV

I wake up in a strange room I look around the room and realize I'm in the hospital. I see everyone in my family there and one person I'm not quite sure who.

When they realize I'm awake they all surround me.

"Thalia are you okay?" My brother asks me.

"Yeah I'm fine Tyler", I say and he has a look of reassurance on his face.

"Thalia can you go around the room and name everyone?" Tyler asks me.

"Yea, sure" "Mom, Charlie and Dad", I say pointing to the rest of my family.

"Good and now can you tell me who he is?" Tyler asks standing next to the guy who I can't remember.

I look into his eyes and sees he has tears that want to spill out but he doesn't let them fall down his face.

"I'm sorry I can't remember", I say looking away.

"It's okay", is all he says before he leaves.

When he's gone I feel a part of me missing but I push the feeling aside. I talk with my family a bit before I fall back asleep.

Dylan's POV

I walk out of Thalia's room letting the tears go down my face, she doesn't remember me. I wasn't expecting her to remember but a little bit of me hoped she would. I just hope she remembers me soon. I hate that I can't hold her in my arms because she doesn't remember.

*4 Days later*

It's been 4 days since Thalia lost her memory and she's remember most things like how to ride, how to drive, everything that people have done to her. She just doesn't remember me. I try to keep my distance so she can remember on her own but it's so hard. She still wears the necklace I gave her though. I don't think I've ever seen her without it.

Thalia's POV

It's been 4 days since my fall and I remember everything but that boy who left when I was in the hospital. I haven't seen him really and there's a part of me that wants him around me but I have no idea why.

I play with the necklace that I'm constantly wearing I don't take it off because I feel like if I do something will happen to it. I've read what it says on it a thousand and the name on the back also but I have no idea what it means, I asked Tyler about it but he said I will know when all my memories come back.

I'm walking through the halls reading my book then I bump into someone, and drop all of my things.

"Oh I'm sorry", I say to the person then I bend down and pick up my stuff.

"It's okay", He says. I recognize the voice from the hospital and I look up to him.

He looks really sad and upset. I wanted to wrap my arms around him and hug him but I know I can't do that since I don't know him. I look into his eyes and then I remember.

"Dylan! I remember you", I say and drop my stuff again hugging him.

"You do?" He says all happy hugging me back.

"Yes, I remember everything", I say smiling.

"That's amazing because I've been waiting until you got your memory back to do this", He says leaning down to kiss me and when our lips meet it felt amazing, I found the part of me that was missing this whole time.
