Running when not paying attention, as the cold air rips apart your soul. Rain drops beating against you as you try to find anywhere to be but there. Thunder erupting in the background making your adrenalin rush down to your feet. Picking up the pace every step. Not turning back. Running until you actually realize why you were running. And stopping, finally realizing how much air you used. I glanced around the muggy area, lifeless and dismembered of once filled with people town. Nothing but damp streets and grey skies filling the aura.

"A church?" I huffed to my soaking wet body. Who knew, maybe a church would be open?

I trudged my drenched wedges to the church's door. The handle was freezing, but I didn't care. I jiggled the latch and it creeped open.

"Success." I mumbled to myself.

The church was dark. Too dark. Lighting barley giving me and light every few minutes to find my way through the alter. The rows of booths and giant cross dead center really seemed humble. For a old lifeless church that is.

I felt my hair. Wet. I ringed it out on the smudged red carpet down the aisle. Shacking it vigorously. I glanced over and spotted a small table in the front of the room with a white table cloth on the top of it. I grabbed onto the fabric and rapped it around my cold defenseless body. It's not until I touched my face that I found I was heavily crying. Yes, we could argue that it was mostly the rain. But in my mind I could feel the difference between the hard rain an my soft tears.

I glanced over to a foggy mirror to the left of the table. I saw my red eyes. I looked horrible, with my dark brown hair and soaking wet- everything. I chuckled at my appearance. There was a wide door next to the mirror and of course I opened it. A dark room once again but I ended up somehow managing to fine a candle and matches. I lit the pearly white candle with my first match. I learned from my dad how to always get the match to light easily, it worked. Using the candle for a light I found another blanket in the room and took it and shit the door behind me. I went back over to the table in the church and placed the candle on it. Sitting with my two blankets and humming a sad song to myself.

'Tomorrow is tomorrow

And tomorrow they will haunt you.

Because today is yesterday's tomorrow.'

I tapped my legs to the beat.

'Today is the very day,

That tomorrow will be the day

That you and I fall.

Let the singing of the rain take you away.'

I hummed the beat some more as I quietly sobbed to myself.

"Tess..." I looked up to the door (I was sitting on the table.) Nobody was there.

"Yes?" I didn't even bother to ask if anyone was there. Because no one was. It seemed like I knew the voice it was vaguely familiar.

"Tess it's me."

"Maria?" I was stunned.

A light danced in the corner of my eye. I looked it's way it was gone.

"Tess, you can't hide forever." He faint voice danced around me. I couldn't find a certain spot to tell where it was coming from.

"What do you mean. I'll leave when the storm dies down. Plus I bet Hikaru hates my guts now." I glanced at the candle.

"Explain the key..."

"The key?" I looked down at the heart shaped key again. Oh right! Even in almost complete darkness it still shined, especially the dangling little pink gem.

"Don't hide from him, unlock your feelings. Tell him. He doesn't understand why you are so upset with Arai." Her words were so comforting.

"Tell him about us?" You could practically feel her nodded.

"Goodbye sis.." I hear her fade away.

"No wait don't leave." I saw a glimpse of her transparent white body float away through the church doors. I fan after her. The church doors feel open with a dripping wet person behind them.

"Tess?" I ran into him and grabbed onto him like he was going to flow away through my fingers. I was crying into his chest. "Hey hey now... Shh it's ok." He pet my head.

"Hikaru?" I looked up at the red head and he nodded. I grabbed around his neck and he carried me over to the table once more. "Y-you're wet.." I felt his drenched sweater. He sat down on the table next to me and sat cris-crossed legged. I waddled over to him and dat right in the middle of his legs.

"What are you...!?" I placed a finger on his lips.

"Shh.." I snuggled in my spot, sitting face to face with him. I took the blankets and rapped them around the both of us. I hugged him to make the ends of the blankets meet. I nuzzled my face into his neck and fell right asleep.
