"But Ms. Ventiquae, I want Gabbie in my team. Without her, I might fail. Which could try take away my scholarship." Said Alex arguing towards Ms. Ventiquae's decision.

"I'm sorry Mr. Mariner, you should have thought of that before signing up for my class for that 'easy A'. Mr. Watson your new partner is Ms. Blue." She said as she sat on her seat writing some thing in her notebook.

When Ms. Ventiquae turned around Alex pulled Gabbie to him with his harsh and uncomfortable touch he said, "Gabbie you can't ignore the fact that I was your first kiss. I was your first love. No matter how much you try to run from me, I'll live in your past."

"You may be her past, but she chooses her present to shape her future." Said Josh defending Gabbie.

"Guys please. If you talk any louder we'll get detention. And Alex, I believe Jessica is waiting for you."

Alex turned around and Gabbie and Josh went to work. Gabbie put her entire potential in the script but her mind was wandering over tonight. Would she be able to do it?

I hope you're okay Rocky. Wherever you are... She thought.

It was 10 minutes to nine pm when Josh and Gabbie walked in room 666. Gabbie was scared so she had held on to Josh's hand tightly.

They opened the door to see Tara and Chris already inside.

"Gabbie! Josh! Ma dawgs!" Exclaimed Shakespeare

"Hey there Will. Good to see you again." Said Gabbie.

When everyone had arrived it was nine sharp Gail explained the plan.

"Two of us stay back here as I don't think the tunnels will be able to withstand the weight and the rest will follow me into the tunnel." Explained Gail.

She handed each one of them high tech walkie-talkies to keep in touch and really powerful torch lights to light the way.

Gabbie and Josh volunteered to stay back while Sandy was pulled in with Gail, Tara and Chris.

"Good luck guys! Don't die!" Said Gabbie.

"They won't. It's death free zone." Replied Arthur.

Gabbie was scared, she had lost her brother she didn't want to loose her friends.

"It's okay Gabbie. Chill out." Comforted Josh

"Oh, I wish I could..."

Josh opened up his arms and Gabbie walked in for a hug. She stayed in his arms for a time longer that usual. That's when she noticed Josh staring at her, she looked into his beautiful eyes and realised, I love him...

"Josh?"

"Yeah Gabbie?"

"Will you be there for me when I need you?"

"Always." He said as he slowly tilted his head and leaned in for a kiss. Gabbie moved in as well and when her lips brushed over his she knew he was the one.

Their kiss was soft and gentle, not like Alex's kiss. When Gabbie pulled away she put her head on Josh's chest.

"I love you Josh.

"I love you too."

Sandy was annoyed she had to listen to Gail. But she knew exactly what she was up to.

As they kept walking in the tunnels the darkness and chilly feeling got to them one by one.

"Is it just me, or winter comes in here early." Said Tara shivering.

Chris offered her his jacket but she didn't accept it,.she didn't want him to feel cold just so she could be warm. What was surprising that Gail had a jacket with her, it was almost like she knew it was gonna be cold.

They hit a part of the tunnel where there were two ends.

"Guys I'll go with Tara, Gail you go with Sandy." Said Chris holding Tara's hand.

Sandy rolled her eyes, getting stuck with Gail was the last thing she wanted but now was the perfect time break her knowledge down to Gail.

Tara and Chris head off to the right side while Sandy followed Gail into the left side and when she was sure that Chris and Tara couldn't hear them she stopped Gail.

"What is it now, Sandy?" Said Gail rather annoyed, she just wanted the work to be done with.

"I know what you're up too."

Gail's blood froze, but now was the time to keep cool.

"And what am I up too?" She said raising an eyebrow.

"Zip it! Don't act all innocent. You know exactly what I'm talking about and what I'm saying is that do it! I don't give two shits about you disappearing but all I want is Rocky back." She said in a really icy tone that actually hurt Gail's feelings.

"Very well Cooperstone."

Sandy followed Gail deeper into the tunnel when they got a call from Chris.

"This tunnel is a dead end." He said.

"Then move back and come into ours. I'll signal you if we find the gold." Replied Gail.

They moved deeper and the chill grew and grew until Sandy found a dusty sign saying "Miners Ave."

Chris and Tara had managed to keep up with them as by the time the girls found the sign they had reached them.

All four of them walked into the tunnel leading to Miner's Avenue and then the light lead the way to a huge pile of gold (dirty, unpolished, odd shaped yet precious gold).

"Okay guys. I think this a restricted part of the museum so we have to hurry before a guard comes to check. We need at least 20 pounds." Said Gail in a hurried tone.

They took at least half an hour to collect all the gold needed and get out of the place.

Gabbie's worried face turned into a smile when she saw her friends coming out of the tunnel safe and sound.

"Guys! You're back! I was so worried-" she said as she was cut by Josh.

"We. We were so worried" he said.

Gail showed Gabbie the packet of gold which made Gabbie start leaping with joy. Gabbie was the only one Gail liked in the group, she reminded Gail of Rocky.

"Oh my God! We're only a step away from Rocky! Will said we can use this room to make the invention so lets meet up here and finish it up!" Said Gabbie as everyone agreed. Gail flitched as Gabbie said that and Sandy snickered.

"Alright, we'll see each other here after school. Okay Gail?" Said Sandy (man was that girl evil or what?)

"Great idea. See you soon." Said Gail as she stepped out of the room.

Now to do as planned, she thought as she ran back home.

Gabbie figured something was fishy but now was not the time to bring it up.

We'll get you back soon bro, just wait and watch. Thought Gabbie as she walked home with Josh, hand in hand.
