Anti Mary-Sue Character Guide

So when I asked my friend what thing he hated most about Mary-Sues, his simple reply was:

"Gary-Stu's"

Thanks for that Tom because I really should have made it clearer that they exist.

I only really use the term 'Mary-Sue' because I personally feel that female characters are most susceptible to this disease but of course, their male counterparts, 'Gary Stu's', are also capable of contracting said disease. Fancy words I know.

Basically, I'll mostly always refer to female characters but naturally you can apply these rules to any gender.
