This section doesn't have much to do with style as such but more to do with hair type.
Although a wacko style compared to the other people could mean that you have a Mary-Sue character. (This is of course excluding medical reasons which should probably be specified)
But very thick hair, thin hair, corkscrew curls, frizz and whisps are all common. Do not be afraid to stray down these lines.
Hair doesn't have to be perfect. This goes back to your characters being relatable.
