Now, many girls like using make-up and that's fine. It may make them feel more confident or they might like playing around with the possibilities of make-up. Or both of course.
I am not one of these girls so my make-up knowledge is not great. Maybe your character is useless and doesn't use it, like me.
One small request I have is state why your character may use make-up. I know many women around the world wear make-up but by adding, 'she wasn't happy with the bags under her eyes so she used make-up to conceal them', at the very least, adds detail to your writing.
For an added bonus, maybe tell us if the make-up usage and brand is good or bad. Maybe the application is awful and they apply too much or not in a straight line. Maybe they've had years of practise.
Adding details like these make your characters more relatable and in turn, people see them more as a normal person compared to a Mary-Sue.
