*sigh*
I really didn't want to this but I will.
Nekos.
I feel like I'm going to directly offend someone which as we know, I never intend to do.
Quick recap that a Mary-Sue will end up being a combination of chapters, not a stand alone chapter. This chapter will end up being a lot like other ones.
Let's get started.
If everyone in the world you have created, or even just a few people are nekos, then that's fine. Please continue. But if just the main character is a neko without an explanation being fully given, then that's not so fine.
With anything unusual or different, make sure a valid explanation is given. Readers love a good backstory, so give your character one.
@MystyFiction also mentioned another good point in the comments which is, if you are going to write about a Neko, you don't have to be stereotypical. We all know the typical 'kawaii' neko type. It's fine if you want to write a character like this but just like people, we all have different personalities. So it could be an idea to explore this.
