ANOTHER TEENAGE DRAMA

Alex's POV:

Jess: what now?

Alex: Meet me now in the library.

Jess: ok.

I sigh as I drop my phone at the table. I stare at the book that I'm supposed to be reading for research, but it seems like I just placed it there or nothing.

I recall the events happened before the gym incident. I was having lunch with Reese and Monique outside school due to the insisted demands of Monique. Nice girl. And we did went out. Its not against the school rules actually.

As we were having lunch my phone vibrated. I took it out to see Cris calling. So, I excuse myself and went to the ladies' washroom.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Lex, you have to be here,"

"Why? What's going on?"

"I'll explain later."

And he drops the call. I quickly sent Monique a message to meet me at the ladies' washroom, and after a few minutes, she came in.

"What's wrong?"

"We have to go back," I'm being hysterical.

"Why?"

"I felt Ryan is doing something not right again."

I heard Monique sigh, but she nodded any way.

Me and Monique used the backdoor to sneak-out. I wonder what Ryan is upto.

We arrive at school with everyone in chaos. I saw Monique grab the nearest guy to her.

"What's going on?"

The guy shrug "Ryan is going to surprise somebody."

"Who?" I asked.

"Reese?"

Monique let the guy go and dash towards the gym. Everyone was running back and forth yelling instructions. We quickly entered the gym just to find three people scattering roses on the floor.

I scan the crowd to find Jess working on something. I made my way towards him. I saw him working on a 1/8 illustration board with the word PROM.

I grab his shirt and drag him towards the comfort room. I quckly locked the door.

"Might as well explain me all about this?"

Instead of answering me he just smiled, and left. That creepy moron.

And everyone knows what happened next. Reese ended up going with Ryan. I could see Reese was happy but I couldn't help feel a little worried at the same time.

The table vibrated that made me jump. It was my phone which I grab and Jess' name popped out.

Jess: where are you?

Alex: I am inside

Jess: I'm inside

Alex: between the shelves

A minute or two, Jess stood across me. I signaled him to have a seat across me.

"What the heck happened?" I asked, as he settled down.

He shrugs "It happened."

"I told you to ask her!"

"I lost, right?"

I sigh "Why did you accept Ryan's challenge anyway?"

He shrugs "Because I thought I stand a chance."

"Jess, it’s a one-on-one basketball challenge. Of course, you don't stand a chance," I sigh heavily.

He chuckled "So, what now?"

"Now," I said "You go back to class. I'll inform you when something happened."

He nodded and left the library with slumped shoulders. I couldn't help feel pity for him. If only I could do something.
