ANOTHER TEENAGE DRAMA

Day came by as a blur. It seems like it’s only yesterday I was shopping for my dress and now I’ll be using it tonight. Today is the day everyone has been waiting for. The night where everyone could be who they want to be. One night, for the guys to finally make their moves on their crushes. The night, where geeks , drama queens, punks, and normal students forget about their status and be friends.

I opened my closet and took the dress I brought, that was hanged. I lay it  on my bed and stare at it. As if, I don’t know what to do with it.

There was a knock on the door and Mom came in.

“Hey, sweetie,” Mom stood beside me.

“Hey,” I whispered.

“Is everything alright?” She placed her hands gently on my shoulders.

“I don’t know, Mom,” I sigh “I’m so confused.”

“Confused?”

I nodded. “Tell me about it,” as Mom sat at the edge of my bed and patted the place beside her, for me to sit.

I played with the hem of my shirt as I told Mom my exciting life story. I told her how I met Ryan. I didn’t leave one thing behind. How weird that it all happened so fast after few months. Time flies so fast.

Mom just nodded, after I told her everything. That’s one thing I like about Mom. She listens to everything I say. I lie down on my bed and cover my eyes.

“What am I going to do?”

I felt the bed move when Mom stood up. I peek to see her standing in front of my dress that is laid above my head. I sat up , when Mom took the dress and held it out in front of me.

“Only one way to find out.”
