It would have been a beautiful sleep if it wasn't for my phone ringing. Sleepily, I grab my purse on my lamp table. I rub my eyes and stretch while I slowly sat up. Who the hell calls me this early?
"hello?" I yawned.
"Reese!" Monique said "Wake up! Wake up!"
"Monique, go back to sleep," I yawned.
"Wake up!"
"I'm up," I yawned "It would have been a good day to sleep."
"Don't tell me you forgot what day it is today."
"Okay, I'm not telling you."
"REESE!"
"You told me not to tell you," Geez, this girl is near her menopausal.
" Seriously?"
I sigh "Its a weekend?"
"I know its a weekend, but aside from that."
"Look, you woke me up for that? Come on, Monique, give me a rest just for now please?"
"Today is Eric's swimming competition."
" Oh," How can I forget about that? "Monique, my head hurts." I reasoned out.
"The competition starts at one's get dress!" She drop the phone first. Leaving no room for arguments.
"Oh sure," I mumbled and drop my phone at my bed. Monique called me for that? I decided to called Alex, just to spread my morning piss off.
I opened my phone and 11 messages are waiting for me. 10 messages are from Ryan and one from Alex.
Alex: you okay?
Ryan: Where are you?
Ryan: Reese,please answer your phone.
I deleted all the messages Ryan had sent and dialled Alex's number.
"Hello?" she said, quiet obvious that I woke her up.
"Alex, get dress, Monique is waiting," I said while opening my closet with one hand.
"I'm getting up,"she sigh"By the way, me and Cris will go together."
"As predicted," I place the phone between my shoulder and ear as I took a shirt from my closet "By the way, can I ask for Jess number?"
"Don't worry, I'll send it to you."
"Thanks, " I walk towards the bathroom.
"Sure," I heard her yawn before she end the call.
I stare at the mirror of my bathroom. I can do this. I felt my phone vibrated on the sink and Alex did sent me Jess' number.
Reese: Morning.
I was brushing my teeth when he replied.
Jess: who's this?
I rinse my mouth and dried my hand before answering the message.
Reese: its me.
The dance. Last night brought back a smile to my face. The best prom dance.
Jess: oh hey. Sorry your number wasn't registered.
