ANOTHER TEENAGE DRAMA

"Your Mom didn't say that, did she?" Monique said on the phone the following day.

I laugh "I guess she did."

"She should have," Monique said "After what he did to you, I could kill him with a shot gun."

I laugh at her. After telling the story to Monique and Alex all over again. I felt like an old CD player playing all over again.

"So, how's your status with Jess?"

I smiled upon hearing his name "There's nothing going on between us."

"Nothing?" She mocked "You guys got more than chemistry."

"More than chemistry? So what is it?, Physics?" I joked.

"Stop joking," she suddenly sound serious "How about Ryan?"

"You know, Monique, even though a big part of me wanted to kill him or slaughter him into pieces but there is also a small part of me that wanted to say thank you to him."

"Why is that so?"

"If it wasn't for him I would never had experience how it felt to be hurt and if it wasn't for him I would never had a chance to dance with Jess."

"So, the conclusion is?"

"I changed Ryan for something better. A much better person that him. Someone, who would dance with me under the rain. Someone, who is patient enough to wait for me. Someone, who would walk me home and even had the courage to talk to my Mom and Dad, yeah, that's Jess."

Saying his name sounded right. I heard Monique scream. I could imagine her, rolling on her bed.

"I knew it! I knew it! Jess loves you like hell, Reese, I hope you feel the same way too."

I sigh "Monique, I already am."

"I'm happy for you, girl!" I could hear a smile from her voice "Gotta go, Eric's here."

After Monique called, my phone vibrated again and this time its Ryan, who was calling. I rejected the call and found my phone filled with 20 messages. Ryan asking why I won't answer. Leave him calling, I don't care anyway. I decided to get over him. I deleted all his messages, all his call and it seems like I'm not contented with it, I block and add his name to the reject list. This time my phone remained quiet. No more calls or messages from Ryan. This time I had a piece of mind.
