Sparks Fly [Completed]

37. An early delivery

The hospital was only 5 minutes away so we took the car and left. Taylor was right beside me in the back of the car while Seth drove all the red lights. "Deep breath's baby" He told me. I couldn't really think of that now. I just had the feeling I wet myself... I knew my waters just broke.
"It's to early" I cried. The pain had faded but still. I knew our munchkin would be born today... to early and to small.
"It's alright baby, maybe it's a false alarm. You know you have been..."
"No! My damn water just broke!" I yelled at Seth who glared at me with a paper white face. "Shit!" He muttered putting down the gas even more putting all of his attention to the road.
"Are you really sure? Like really?" Taylor asked going all panic too.
"Yes I am sure because I don't pee myself!" Was in full panic mode myself. It wasn't like it mattered now. I was filled in by the doctors about labor, I read the books and talked to Claire about giving birth. There was no doubt I was there now.
"But it's to soon. It will be to small!" Taylor said with eyes big with fear.
I knew this, of course I knew this! I had been informed that my baby would arrive early if I didn't stay calm. The doctors told me... Taylor told me and of course Seth told me. 

Seth parked the car right in front of the hospital. "I will park it" Taylor inmediatly said as he helped me out of the car. Another contraction started to build up making it harder to walk by myself. Seth just decided to carry me. Officially he wasn't allowed because of his arm but he didn't seem to care. 

"Em... Listen to me" He said walking inside. "Our munchkin is strong! It will be fine... 35 weeks is early but it's alright. It can do this!" He told me keeping his calm way better then I did. 
"Say it" He urged me "Say it will be fine! You have to say it. 
I swallowed and nodded "It... Munchkin will be fine" I whispered. This was the last thing I could say before the contraction took away my breath making me gasp in pain. 
"And you will be just fine too" Seth said, maybe more to himself instead of me. 

He took me right to the maternity ward of the hospital where I was checked in right away. I was given a room where I was checked right away. Indeed I was in labor. My water had broke and there was no turning back because I was already 4 centimeters dilated too. The pains I already had earlier today weren't the pains like I had before. 
"35 weeks is alright. The baby seems to be in order. We have the people and equipment to help you so there is no need to be worried" The nurse said after the doctor left. 
Seth seemed to not be able to speak. I was pretty shocked too. I wasn't prepared... okay, out house was prepared. We had the cutest nursery. All a baby would need. Still I was terrified. 
"All you can do is take it easy, I will be right around if you need anything" And with that the nurse left. 

"I... I can't do this" I stammered sitting on the bed. It was alright now... no pains... the next contraction would take a few minutes to come. Still, how the hell was I going to live through this. 
"Of course you can!" Seth said sounding even a little angry. I cringed and he softened right away. 
"Come one Em... You definitely can do this. Look at what you have done so far. There is no way you would be incapable of giving birth... or being a great mother" 
I knew he was right, "Okay" I muttered and he wrapped his arms around me. "I will be with you every step of the way!" He told me kissing me. 

That moment Taylor burst in with Claire. "Is everything alright!" Taylor almost yelled. 
"Calm down!" I told her gesturing her to be quiet. "It's all perfectly fine!" 
Seth chuckled a little, he gave me a look. He seemed to think it was funny how I told Taylor all was fine while Inside I was still panicking. 
"So... it't not coming?" She asked a little hopeful. 
Seth shook his head "No... Munchkin is coming... today" he said. Taylor whimpered a little. 
Claire was the only one who was really perfectly calm. 
"Well, prepare yourself for some sleepless night's then" She grinned and sat on a plastic chair. 
"How far are you?" She looked at me. 
"4 centimeters" She smiled "Okay... well, it may take a while before the real stuff is actually happening so sit back and relax now you still can"
