After a long and frustrating discussion with Andrew he finally agreed I could go to the party. I was fuming on the inside. He acted like I was a child. A 14 year old girl. I sure as hell wasn't! Beside, I would go with Taylor. She had no boyfriend and my husband wouldn't come because he had a business trip. Something more to get me mad. All that anger I kept inside. I knew he would only get more angry so I just let it. There was no point. I was happy enough I could go without having to hide myself. I was going, with or without his permission.

A week later I got ready at Taylor's place who still lived with her parents. Halloween was one of our favorite holiday's. We could play dress up and it was always the best! And I mean our costumes were just amazing and smoking hot. Once I put it on with my hear all pretty with this pearly clip and make-up on point I investigated myself in the mirror.
"Tay" I said looking at Taylor who was still getting her long strawberry blond hair in curls. She looked up at me. "What you say my dear princess Ariel?" She grinned. I laughed but got serious soon after. "Taylor, do I look like a slut?" Gad, why did I feel so insecure all of a sudden?
Taylor dropped the curling iron and looked completely flabbergasted. "Who told you you looked like a slut?"
This girl knew me all to well. Usually I wasn't really that insecure about myself until somebody close to me would say something harsh. Maybe it had to do with my past. I just took it really serious.
"It was Andrew was it not!" Taylor put away her curling Iron and walked up to me giving me a hug.
"You do not look like a slut! You look gorgeous and just the right amount of sexy! Man I wish I could kick his ass right now!" She fumed. I smiled a little.
"Good thing he is not here then" I mumbled.
"I can kick his ass when he is back! Seriously Em, why do you put up with that!" She let go of me and crossed her arms.
I simply shrugged. "He is just scared guys will get the wrong idea"
This made Taylor groan. "Honestly girl! You did see Becky's outfit last year right! That was slutty! We look awesome and original and beautiful!"

Taylor's pep talk worked and getting to the clubs were the party was held I felt way more happy and excited to dance all night. The weather was cold but luckily no rain so we could walk there. Which meant we could have something to drink.

"So... which single cutey will you be hitting on tonight?" I asked walking there arm in arm with Taylor. She giggled a second before answering.
"Nobody, we are both alone so I will be hitting on nobody and enjoy my time with my bestie"
This answer made me incredibly happy. I wasn't looking forward to standing alone on the sideline looking at her hooking up with some guy.
"Good to hear. So I will hold your hand in the haunted house?"
"Hell no!" She almost yelled making me jump.
"You know I am terrified of those thing. You are crazy for liking them" She cried out.
"You are such a pussy" I laughed shaking my head. "But fine, I will go by myself"
I always liked the haunted house they made up for this party.
The whole thing was set in our old high-school gym and the haunted house was made across some hallways. It wasn't super scary. I always loved seeing how creative the kids at the school had been. We usually helped along now and then being the 2 most crafty former students.

"Oh my gosh! Taylor and Emily! How the hell... I can't get over how hot you guys look!"
Becky stormed up to us dressed in the most skanky outfit I had ever seen.
It was nothing but a black pair of shorts, a black, way to tight top covering her boobs. And at that point the top seemed to fail! Oh and of course cat ears. Because she was something... well Halloween-ish.
Taylor gave me a look and we both laughed. Okay... that was slutty. Compared to that we were pretty classy.

This night was exactly what I needed. I had loads of fun dancing with Taylor and some other girls we knew from school. Most of them had moved away because they hated small town life. Every year most of them came back for this party. We weren't this popular group in school or anything. Just a group who were all into crafty stuff. Taylor and me were about the only ones who stayed behind and didn't go to college because we could work at the craft store which made us perfectly happy.

"So how is the husband doing? Any babies on their way?" We were sitting around a table having a drink. I grinned and pointed at my glass of wine. "You think I would be drinking if I was pregnant" I laughed.
Becky shook her head "No that is true. But you want to right?"
I nodded "Yes, but Andrew is't really ready jet for babies.
"Andrew needs a kick in the ass!" Taylor groaned. No she didn't really like my husband these days. It kind of hurt. I mean I loved him. I married him and I wanted to be married with him forever... right?
"He needed a kick in the ass back at school!" Becky agreed. "I remember that time back at school when he called you names for failing math. I mean it was math and he called you a stupid bitch."
This conversation wasn't going anywhere fun and I sighed.
"He has a temper, whatever, I love him!" I told them a little bitchy and got up. "I will be at the haunted house."
