Boyfriend?

"Where is he?!" Her scream rattled my ears. I got on my tippy toes to see who was making all the noise. I looked past a few people and saw that it was Amy Poehler. Her face was blood red and I could tell she had been crying. Now, it was just fear. Lorne rushed over to her and tried to calm her down. Jimmy and I tried to fight our way through the crowd as well so that we could get to her. We got to them just as Lorne was saying, "There was a shooting and Seth was taken to New York Pres."

"I can't believe this." She looked at me and said again, "This is all because of you?"

"I--"

"Amy. This is not even the least bit Jess's fault. This was just something that never should've happened. Its no one's fault except for Eddy's." Lorne said in a calming tone. He rested his hand on Amy's shoulder in an attempt to lighten her mood.

"And Jess's." She hissed at me.

"Amy look," I began "I never wanted this. Please, believe me. But, if it helps anything, he literally just texted me about 5 minutes ago. So it seems like he's going to be okay if he's up texting!" I tried to reason with her.

"What did you just say?" She put her hands on her hips and squinted her eyes at me.

I cautiously said, "He... he texted me about 5 minutes ago..."

"Wow." She blew out a puff of air. 

Jimmy took a step forward, stuck out his hand and said, "Amy listen. He probably just sent her a text to say that he was okay."

"I don't care about that, Jimmy. I care that she was texting my boyfriend and having a conversation with him while he won't even bother to text me back or even call me."

Everyone paused for a brief moment. No one really knew what to say, so it was Lorne's turn to say something. Anything. "Boyfriend?" Lorne asked in a baffled tone.

"Yeah, Lorne. Boyfriend." She said slowly, almost degrading to Lorne.

Jimmy chimed in, "Amy. He didn't know you guys were dating. None of us did. I think you just need to take a step back and calm down for little bit before you say something that you don't mean."

"I don't want to hear it from you Jimmy. If I were you, I would be less worried about me and more about what Jess is doing behind your back."

"Hey listen! Jess isn't doing anything behind my back. I can tell you that in confidence. She and Seth are friends and its not her fault that Seth texted her first." I took my hand and pushed past Amy who was just speechless. From behind us, I could hear Lorne say, "I think everyone is just a little bit worked up. Let's come back to this when things calm down."

I heard her retort, "Don't neglect the fact that something is going on between them just  because its been a little bit of hectic day."

"Well--" He was cut off.

"Well nothing. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get down to the hospital and see my boyfriend."

Jimmy and I were walking down the hallway go grab the elevator. Fortunately, the crowd of emergency services had dwindled so there were just a few stray detectives and officers walking around.

Jimmy sucked in a huge breath of air and blew it out just as fast. He had a distressed look on his face and said, "Well. That was... eventful."

"I'll say. I don't know what the hell that was about."

"Yeah that was completely ridiculous. You're constantly telling me the truth and you have never given me a reason to think otherwise. I don't know where she gets this shit sometimes."
