UNEDITED
After lunch, it was time for music. This was probably going to be my favorite class, all of us are in it and I really love music. It's perfect. Our teacher seemed a bit eccentric, but really cool.
His name is Mr. Way; he has really bright red hair (which I don't think is allowed for the teachers but he seems like the kind of guy to ignore the rules) and is the most sassy person I've ever met in my life. He sassed four kids in the first ten minutes of class, earning the respect of most of us almost instantly. He gave us our first project of the year, and I was apprehensive about it at first, until I saw Tyler give Jack a knowing look, before winking at me. We had this week to come up with a song about something that we loved, and we could be in any size group as long as it didn't have more than seven people.
As soon as Mr. Way clapped his hands for us to get to work, Jack grabbed my chair and dragged it over next to his, making that horrible screeching noise as the metal scraped along the tile floor. He motioned Brendon and Patrick to move in and close off the circle.
Tyler was the first to speak, "Ok, so Jack and I have had this idea for awhile now, but I guess now is the perfect time to do it. Let's do a song abo-"
"TACO BELL!" Jack shouted, interrupting Tyler and causing the surrounding groups to yell at him to shut up.
"Calm down there Barakat, but that's good with me, let's do it." Brendon said, slouching down in his seat and propping his legs up on Patrick's lap.
"Yeah, I'm fine with it too." Patrick said while pushing Brendon's feet off of his lap. "What about you Josh?" he asked me.
"Heck yes, I love Taco Bell. This is going to be sick!"
"Sick as frick; completely unlit." Tyler said. The other sniggered a little bit, like it was an inside joke or something. Guess I'll ask about it later.
We spent the rest of the time planning out what we were going to do. Apparently Tyler wrote his own songs, which he had failed to mention earlier, and recorded some of them. He had a microphone, electric piano, and a little sound effects board we could use.
We decided not to put drums in the song, because Tyler's microphone wasn't good enough; the microphone would get overloaded and the sound would be very staticy and muddled.
We would all sing little bits of the song, and some parts of it we would sing together. Tyler was going to start working on the music; we were also going to throw in the tunes of a few different songs too.
We ran out of time in class, but we decided to all meet at Taco Bell (of course) after school to eat, and then go over to Tyler's house to finish working things out and pitch more ideas. This is the only school assignment I've ever been excited for.
I went to gym with Patrick and Jack after music, I'm actually not dreading gym. I like to work out and stay relatively fit, so it won't be that bad. After that was Algebra II with Tyler and Brendon, and lastly was Chemistry with just Tyler. I'm going to fail both of those classes, I know it.
After school let out, Tyler and I walked to his car to head out to meet the guys, they all lived close together on the other side of town so they car pooled. I sent a text to my mom letting her know what was going on; she replied with the typical "be safe, have fun, I love you."
We all got our food and talked about what happened at school that day. Jack had Alex in a lot of his classes, which he was excited about and dreading at the same time. Alex was also at Taco Bell so Jack made me trade seats with him so he could see him; Brendon called Jack a creep to which Jack responded by throwing a hot sauce packet at his forehead.
