A/N- My clumsy tendencies and awkwardness knows no bounds. I just tripped and fell at the gym and knocked some weights off the rack...
10 Years Later
Tyler and I sat on the couch together at my parent's house, Tyler was snuggling into my side and we had a fuzzy blanket thrown over top of us. We had all gathered to watch the broadcast of one of our live performances the night of New Years.
We had started a band together, and after a lot of time, effort, and hope, we made it big. Our parents were very proud of us and everything we had accomplished.
We named our band twenty one pilots, after a play called All My Sons. We had studied it at school, and it really spoke to Tyler. It was just Tyler and I in the band. I played the drums, of course, and Tyler piano, ukulele, a little bass, and sang.We have three albums out right now, and our song 'Stressed Out' is currently listed at number two on the Billboard Top 100. I guess you could say we are doing pretty well right now.
As we watched the show, I mindlessly twirled my wedding ring around my finger. Tyler and I had gotten married seven years ago, when we were twenty. It was a small outdoor wedding, and it is by far the best day of my life.
We want to adopt some kids one day, but right now isn't the best time. We wouldn't be able to be completely there for them. I'm excited for the day we can though.
My phone vibrated, and it was a text from Brendon, complementing us on the show. Brendon and Dallon, who got married two years before us, have taken over Brendon's parents business after they retired.
Brendon had tried a band with Dallon's friend Ryan and a few other people, but that quickly fell apart. They are both very wealthy now, have two dogs, and adopted a baby girl seven months ago.
Patrick and Pete got married five years ago. Pete and Andy owned and ran their own tattoo shop together. Andy did fulfill his goal of every inch of his skin being covered in tattoos from the neck down, and he looks pretty sick.
Patrick and Joe ran a music store together, which had CD's and instruments. They also did guitar and vocal lessons. Between the two shops, which were doing really well, Patrick and Pete had enough money to get a house big enough to hold them and their three kids, two boys and a girl.
Jack and Alex started a band with Zack and Rian. They call themselves All Time Low, and they are well known for dick jokes and nudity, but honestly we'd be surprised if they weren't.
They've done a lot of touring in the UK recently, but they're finally back home for awhile. Tyler and I are actually meeting up with them tomorrow along with Brendon, Dallon, Patrick, and Pete to all just hang out and catch up.
Kellin actually ended up turning his life around after he got out of juvie. He still lives here in town; he has a wife, three kids, and is a very successful counselor for teens with drug and alcohol addictions.
A few years back we ran into him and his family at the store. At first there were blank stares and an awkward silence, but Kellin broke it with an apology. He said sorry for all the things he said and did, and hoped we could forgive him. He knew that he didn't deserve our forgiveness, but we gave it to him anyways.
We see him every now and then, he always smiles and says hello, and even offered for us to call him if we need anything. We actually took him up on that offer one day when our car broke down near his office. He came out to get us and drive us to the mechanics shop while our car was towed there.
