A/N- Slight trigger warning in this, it's a brief mention of self harm. If this would bother you just skip the italic words, you'll still be able to understand what's going on. Love you all, stay safe.

"Josh, what are they talking about?" Tyler asked, I could hear the panic in his voice and see it in his eyes. I'm sure my expression mirrored his.

"Don't worry Ty, it'll be fine, you'll be ok."

"Josh! What is going on?" Tyler questioned once again, letting out a little sound of pain as Max tightened his grip.

"You see, Tyler," Kellin began to answer for me, "we made a little deal only last week that if Josh would cooperate with us, we would leave you and your group of friends alone. But, he couldn't even keep his promise longer than a week. He told two of your friends, even though he wasn't supposed to. So whatever happens to you today, you have him to thank."

Kellin walked up to Tyler and began to pull his fist back, but I interjected,

"No, stop, please! Hit me instead, leave him out of this, he didn't do anything! Hit me instead!! Please, I'm begging you don't touch him! I won't run, I won't hit back, you can do whatever you want, just please don't hurt him!"

I struggled as hard as I could to get out of Ronnie's grip, but it was no good. Kellin looked back at me and gave me a smirk before facing Tyler once again. My pleads had fallen on deaf ears, because his fist hit Tyler right in the nose. Tyler let out a cry of pain that tore my heart in two; blood almost instantaneously starting dripping out of Tyler's nose and on to the asphalt below.

"No! Stop, please! Tyler I am so sorry! I'm sorry, I didn't mean for you to get hurt I swear! You have to believe me! Leave him alone!!" I tried stomping on Ronnie's feet, hitting him with my elbows, but nothing worked.

I felt more helpless now than I ever have in my life. Tears welled up in my eyes, but I didn't care. I just needed to save Tyler. Kellin hit him in the stomach a few times before turning to face me. Tyler was coughing and breathing heavy, little whimpers of pain leaving his quivering lips.

"We told you what would happen if you didn't listen, I don't see why you're so surprised by this." Kellin said nonchalantly while walking behind Tyler and Max.

Kellin took Tyler's arms from Max and gestured towards me with his head. Tyler began to struggle again, but the bean-pole that is Kellin Quinn was actually really strong.

"But, to prove I'm not completely heartless, I'll take you up on one last deal."

Ronnie let go of my arms, red marks were on them from his tight grip. He and Max came and stood in front of me. I stood as tall as I could, stuck out my chest, and held my head up. I was absolutely freaking out on the inside, but I had to be strong for Tyler. This was all for Tyler. Max's fist went back, I squeezed my eyes shut, and braced myself.

Tyler's POV

I couldn't watch. I couldn't see all of the blood, Josh's blood, spatter onto the ground. I heard the sounds of the hits and Josh's cries of pain. I was begging and pleading with Kellin to make them stop, but he did nothing.

I glanced up for a moment just in time to see Max kick Josh on the side of his chest, and I could've sworn I heard a crack. I winced and looked away; that was when Blurry decided to make his-self known once again.

This is your fault Tyler. If it wasn't for you, Josh wouldn't be getting beat up right now. They might end up killing him, and if they do it will be your fault.
