not going to lie.

i feel like tegan is hiding something. i could be paranoid but she always drifts off into space when im talking to her.

but im really glad tegan is finally giving into me, because i want to show her how people can change.

i really hope that i've changed though.

to be honest, after that dare, i have never felt at home. i had a constant waves of guilt washing over me whenever i saw tegan and so see her hurting was the worse thing for me to see. but i'm a coward. i'm so scared to tell the boys why i was gone and what i was doing. i could ruin me. my soccer career.

stop calum.

lets focus on the road for now.

the drive to tegans house isn't that long, but with a tension in this car, it feels like it has been hours.

"calum, what did you ever do to your bass?"

"i still have it, its in my closet collecting dust, i never got a new amp from that one time we blew it up" i chuckled

tegan cracked a smile. "i miss this a lot"

"me too, we should do it more often"

when we arrived out of the car, tegan quickly gathered her stuff and walked towards her front door with her keys.

i forgot what tegans house looked like because I haven't been there in so long, but when she opened the door there was a bunch of flashbacks coming back to me.

tegan ran to her room "HURRY UP YOU SLOW MOTHERFUCKER"

with that, i sprinted down the hall to see tegan laying face down on her bed.

"you okay?"

"yeah i just love my bed"

"why it's just a bed"

tegan glared at me "because it lets me sleep on it and eat food on it" tegan pointed to the kitchen across the hallway "perks of having a small place is you have the kitchen as a next door neighbor"

"its not like I remember," i stated. tegans room was very different. she took down all her "hipster" lights, her bed is no longer a loft, its one of those trundle beds.

"well everyone goes through phases in their life," tegan smiled. "but theres one thing that hasn't changed" tegan took my hand and i felt i spark of electricity run through my body

"ow fuck!" tegan yelled

"what happened"

"you shocked me you dingus"

"well i am electrifying" i winked and laughed.

"you're and idiot, keep walking"

tegan tugged on my wrist leading me into her walk in closet. the closet was dark so i couldn't really see anything.

"are you going to murder me?"

"yes"

and she stabbed me and i died.

-

-

just kidding.

tegan turned on her lights to show her closet walls filled with pictures.

of us.

"when were these taken?"

"don't you remember fred?"

"no..."

"my cannon camera you idiot!"

"oh yeah! and you would take pictures everywhere you go. im surprised you didn't break the camera"

"im not that clumsy"

"you took it rock climbing"

"okay maybe that wasnt a good idea but i still got good pictures"

im not going to lie, the pictures were great. if you thought she was good at music, she's an even better photographer. i just liked the way she was able to capture every moment, well most of them, and she still kept them. Im glad she still had part of me before i left her. it showed that she didn't hate me that much

¨calum, what are we doing?¨

¨hanging out i guess¨

¨but i hated you, not even 24 hours ago.¨

ouch that one stung.

¨things are changing fast tea¨

¨yeah a little too fast,¨ tegan sighed

i admired tegans room, she put so much effort into making it look nice. if we walked into my room, all you would see is dirty clothes and probably leftover breakfast. tegans bouse made me have a warm feeling inside.

but i don't think it's tegan's room that makes me feel this way.

tegan rickford makes me feel at home. and I couldn't thank her enough
