"Will you stop. You're making me nervous." Bucky said as he watched his best friend pace back and forth in front of him. Steve glanced down at him, wondering how he could eat after all this. Then again, they actually had decent food for once. Real bread with jam and some form of meat that sort of reminded them of ham but not exactly.

"Well you should be." Steve grumbled. "Peggy mailed that letter I sent and it has more than likely reached Willow by now along with your notice of death which as you can tell isn't true." Steve said, gesturing to him. Bucky shrugged.

"Yeah but your letter you sent the very next day should also reach her sometime soon along with the retracement of my death. Everything's fine. She's probably writing back to you right now telling you how big of an idiot you are." Bucky said nudging Steve a little with the toe of his boot. Steve sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. She probably was but Steve couldn't stand the thought of Willow crying over them when both he and Bucky were alive and well. He just wished the mail system was faster. He wanted to hear from Willow. "Now will you sit down and eat or I'll eat this for you." Bucky did gesturing to Steve's plate of untouched food.

"You can have it." Bucky scoffed.

"Uh, no I can't. If what you've told me is true, you need all the energy you can get. You're already wasting enough just by pacing. Now come on, eat." Bucky said standing and forcing Steve to sit down next to him.

"I'm not hungry." Steve argued as Bucky put the plate on his lap.

"Well you're going to be. Now come on, eat up." Steve sighed and like a kid, began playing with his food.

"So.. Can you explain to me again about this whole 'I have the strength of ten men', thing because I still have you in my mind as this punk ass kid with scrawny.. Everything." Steve laughed a little and managed to take a bite out of his piece of bread.

"It was an experimental procedure created by Doctor Abraham. I'm shot full of these chemicals I don't know the names of and electrocuted. Sort of like what Frankenstein did to his monster."

"Except you're not a monster." Bucky pointed out. Steve shrugged.

"Yeah, I guess." There was a small silence. "They didn't know if it would work but the results were impressive. There was supposed to be an entire army of guys like me but.. Doctor Abraham died and with him, the formula of the serum. They wanted to put me in a lab, figure out what chemicals had been used but the senator got to me first and made me a walking ad campaign."

"And that's cool right? Traveling the country, meeting lots of girls." Steve smirked a little.

"Yeah, cool." Bucky paused as he ate his food.

"Wait, right. Duh. Willow. You're still in love with Willow. How's that been going? Does she look at you differently now that you're all beefed up." Bucky said hitting his friends chest, which is something he couldn't do before without hurting Steve. Steve shook his head.

"No she doesn't. I mean I'm taller than her now so she has to look up but she looks at me the same.." Steve pauses and that's how Bucky knows there's more to the story.

"Okay, spill it. What happened while I was away? Something happened between you two." Steve didn't answer right away. "Don't leave me hanging here Steve." Bucky said, nudging his arm. Steve smiled a little.

"It was literally the day you left." Steve began. "There was a draft at that Stark place we went to. Modern Marvels or something and I got drafted there. Willow found out, became upset and then when we were arguing as to why I should or shouldn't go, she confessed that she was in love with me, has been for some time." Bucky let out a low whistle.

"Really?" Steve nodded, a small smile on his lips. "For how long?"

"She said she didn't know. She said it just.. Happened." Bucky smiled slowly.

"And so you've been in love with her all this time when you could have just asked her how she felt and gotten results." Bucky stated, slapping Steve on the back.

"I guess.. Maybe. I don't know." There was a small pause. "She could have said no. Maybe the date could have gone wrong. A lot of things could have happened."

"Why are you so negative? Come on she likes you. Have you two kissed?"

"Bucky." Steve said, blushing red.

"So you have! Okay was it everything you've ever dreamed of?"

"Yeah.. It was." Bucky smiled.

"I'm happy for you guys."

"Thanks Bucky." Steve said with a wide smile.

"Anytime Steven."
