Chapter 14: Something I've Never Seen Before

Walking back to my house, I still have this warm feeling on my back. Remembering what was there before made my cheeks rosy. His body was soft and warm. He was muscular and had a well toned body, he- wait! Stop it! Stop it! Your acting like a girl so stop it! I sighed
"Sometimes the girl I have left in me let's loose inside my head" I rambled to myself. As soon as I got home I rushed in the door
"Aphmau I am so sorry! We were fighting, and Dante dared Laurence to do something so stupid! And I had to-" I looked up to see a quite comfortable Aphmau grinning at me. She was sitting with one of her legs on top of the other, sipping her tea. Wait- tea? She made tea? How long was I gone for?
"Hi Autumn! I hope you don't mind I made some tea?"
"Not at all, what's mine is yours" I smile and sit on the opposite side of Aphmau. "So...what did you want I talk about?"
"I wanted to talk about a threat" she set down her tea.
"We have a threat? Why did nobody tell me about this?!" I raised my voice.
"Because we knew you would act like this, but I had to tell you at some point. Because if I didn't, maybe he would make us seem like the bad guys in this situation, or use you."
"Well.... I understand your concern, but I made a promise! I solemnly swore that I would not do anything to hurt the village or it's people. And I will live up to that until I die" I smiled softly. I then gave a serious expression "So, who is this threat?" I asked.
"His name is Zane, and unfortunately Garroth's brother-"
"Wait a second. Garroth has a brother?! And he's our enemy?" I stood up.
"He actually has two brothers, one named Vlyad and the other Zane. Zane we know is definitely evil for the crimes he has committed. But for Vlyad...I don't know much about him, other then Garroth saying he was a nice and thoughtful brother. But Zane you really had to know about..."
"What's his description?" I asked with my elbows on my knees and my hands intertwined, while my chin rests on them.
"What do you mean?" Aphmau asked confused.
"What does he look like?"
"He has blue eyes and black hair, always has clothing that covers his mouth. He has a deep voice but not as deep as Garroth's."
"Thankyou, now I think we should go into details about this 'Zane' later. For now I would like to get some rest, if you wouldn't mind?"
"Oh not at all" Aphmau then stood up and exited my house. "Bye Autumn! Have a nice night!" She waved goodbye to me.
"Night!" I said while casually saluting her. She chuckled and left into the shadows of the night. As I was about to go back inside I felt something on my nose. As I crossed my eyes to look at it, it fell down my face. I faced the sky and saw dark clouds start to form. I just wanted to stand there, left alone in the rain. But to do that, I had to put my armour away before it rusts. I walk into my house, up the stairs and to my room. I take of my armour and delicately place it on it's stand. I head for my front door, once I make it back to where I was. I close the door behind me and sit on the steps that lead to the level of my house. Sitting there with my legs apart, my back slouching and my forearms resting on my thighs. I closed my eyes as drops of rain splashed on my face and nose. I think to myself, is this Zane so big of a threat that they wouldn't tell me about him, could they not trust me with that information a while ago? Is this Zane going to destroy the village? So many questions, yet, so unanswered. Hmm...
As I look around the empty streets of Phoenix Drop, something catches my attention. I mean how could it not, it was a person. Is it and infiltrator? Perhaps a wild animal? As I squint my eyes and try to look closer. I can recognise their face, well, more like his face. It was Laurence! But what business did he have this late at night? I dunno.

My curiosity got the best of me and I decided the follow him. He seemed to have something red in his hands, and he walked to the bridge. Wait! No he didn't?! He took a left just before it. Where was he going? I crept up behind a tree and saw a small build that I have never noticed nor seen before. But the creepy thing was, that there were those creatures I saw before that helped me out of the cave. I mean, they look harmles, and they did help me out. But it looked like he dint even notice them. I was somewhat scared for the first time. Why are they here? What was that place? Will they hurt- hu!- Laurence. I look up to him looking at the build if emerald, diamonds and gold. The colours were beautiful and vibrant, but why those materials?
"L-Laurence?" I stuttered, coming out of my hiding spot. He turns around and I see him crying. Ignoring the images of...what ever those things were, I walked up to him.
"Laurence? What's wrong?" I asked quietly.
"He was- and I don't, and he's" he stutters and keeps crying. I've never seen him like this, it's a side of Laurence I never knew. I never knew his pain...

I came closer to him and hugged him. He seemed surprised because for a second he stopped crying and was stiff. But he then quietly continued and latched onto me. He needed a shoulder to cry on.Literally. But even if I don't know why, I'll always support him. No matter what....
