"Namie!"
"Yes?" says a monotonic voice.
"Am I boring?" asks Izaya.
" What's up with that?" She raises her brow.
"Yes..." Izaya rubs his chin then spins on his chair away from his working desk, he turns to a huge window. He looks outside at the beautiful view of the city. He chuckles amused, then starts to laugh out loud. He laughs at himself and at his own question. "Humans! Humans are wonderful and I have the honour to look after them." He smiles slyly, his eyes on the view while he thinks, the idea amuses him. "Interesting things are about to go down, how fun," he says in cunning voice. His phone starts to ring, "perfect," he says amused and lets the phone ring for a while more then answers the call.
"When needed, you're a man difficult to find," you speak on the phone.
"Yet you found me, [f/n]-chan," answers Izaya amused.
"I see there's no need to introduce myself. I would like you to do additional research," you say in a calm voice.
"Is that so," says Izaya cunningly "I'm assuming the deadline remains the same?"
"If possible yes," you reply.
"Don't you think you're not being realistic?" he says in a rather calming voice with a hint of amusement in it, not very unprofessional.
"well if that's out of your ability, then I'll get someone that is competent enough to do so." You answer elegantly and Izaya chuckles in response.
"[f/n]-chan that was mean," his voice is calm, but you can feel a slight touch of excitement in it.
"I don't have time for your games, and please refer to me by my name," you reply in a calm voice.
"Of course," he says amused. "come to my place in the evening. I'll send you my address."
"Alright," you reply.
"Good, I'll see you in the evening," he says then pauses, "[f/n]-chan," he adds then hangs the call like his intention is to mess with you. What an odd man, his reputation is outstanding when it comes to work but there isn't a person, who would say anything about him as a man, at least you haven't met any by now.
As said, you go and meet him in the evening, going to the address he sent, to his apartment. You ring the door and it doesn't take long that the informer opens the door.
"[f/n]-chan!" he opens his arm with a charming smile on his face. He greets you the way you would greet a close friend.
"Orihara," you respond in a calm voice, there's nothing much you can do about his behaviour but you can control yours unless he'll step over the line.
"come in," he invites you inside and you enter the place. His apartment has an outstanding design, it's spacious and has a lot of natural light but then again someone like him could afford such a nice apartment, which is apparently his office as well. You walk further and to the middle of it then look around, it's rather stupid to let your clients know where you live or very arrogant. You glance at the informer, who's been watching you the whole time. He might be odd but you've learned from the past experience that people are not what they seem, and the informer is most likely the second type, an arrogant cunning individual.
"Let's get to business," says Izaya, his lips expand into a smirk, "shall we" he moves and then directs to the desk at the end of the apartment.
"Yes," you say and follow to the desk. Izaya takes a seat, he leans back in his chair and looks at you, he doesn't offer you to take a seat, he just watches you to see what will you do, you could take a seat without him inviting you to but that could be considered rude but then again his ignorance is something to be considered rude and unprofessional. You decide to walk around the apartment. Izaya watches you, he stays like that for a moment then smirks and looks at the screen of the computer and does something on it.
"The information of the organizations and the additional information that you requested," says Izaya, "take a look" he motions you to approach and look at the screen. He turns the screen in your direction and you took a look over the information. It's all there, you take some time to check everything if it's done as needed. There's nothing to say, his work seems flawless, he might be unprofessional in his behaviour but it's clear he does his work perfectly, he even managed to do the additional work in just a few hours; impressive.
"Good," you say then lean back, "your work reflects in your reputation," you glance at him and Izaya smirks, he knows it.
"I'm the best for a reason but you can still go to others if you think they might do better work," he says provokingly, clearly amused, referring to your previous words, he has proven that he's good, better than the rest and you'll probably have to deal with him again in case that you'll need any other information. You give him a small sly smile but say nothing. You move from the desk.
"As agreed," you say and put an extra amount of cash for the extra information that the informer provided.
"straight to business, aren't you," says Izaya amused, a smirk on his face. He pulls the USB out of the computer.
"Yes," you reply shortly and Izaya hums then stands up. He walks from the desk to the kitchen counter and behind it. He takes two glasses, you watch him in silence.
"You have quite a reputation," he says while he pours something into the glasses. You think for a moment, he's an informer, and as a new player, it's very likely people will come to him to get information on you and the organization you work for. Maybe it wouldn't be bad to see what he has on you by now.
"it appears you've already done research on me," you reply in a calm voice and Izaya smirks.
"maybe or maybe I heard rumours," he replies then approaches and hands you a glass of [your preferred drink], you look up from the glass and his eyes are there to meet yours.
"and on your way, you overheard my preferred drink?" you reply then take the glass, his expression unchanged.
"sounds possible, doesn't it?" he replies cunningly but clearly entertained.
"yes but the possibility is very low," you reply then take a sip, "but, you're an informer, so the possibility that you've done research on me is very high," you say in a calm but coy manner, "or maybe you got very lucky and guessed it." Your eyes stay on his, Izaya's smirk widens while he watches your behaviour.
"We could say all of those are merely speculations," he replies cunningly and you hum but your expression relaxes and you look back in his eyes, now serious.
"regardless of that, you know who I am and what's my reputation, so try not to cause me any trouble," you say in a calm voice and Izaya makes a few low laughs, finding it amusing. Information is power but in the end brute force always overpowers.
"[f/n]-chan, do you really think you're the first person, who said such nice words to me?" says Izaya amused. "It appears you truly are the way they say or maybe that's just an act?" he says sharply, watching you.
"Test it if you're brave enough, but once you cross the line you won't get a second chance," you reply in a somewhat taunting voice. You set the glass down then take the USB.
"I would never," says Izaya amused, being sarcastic.
"You would never," you say in a calm voice then pause for a moment and speak. "do you really think you're the first person, who thought they can cross the line?" you use his words from before then smile slyly but seductively then turn and direct to the door. "We'll meet again when you deliver the rest," you add then leave.
