Dude. How could Percy want to forget this life? He's a powerful son of Poseidon, he's got an amazing girlfriend and friends that support him. Frank... Wow. He'd like to say it was a coincidence, but he knew it was fate. Literally, fate.

He walked all around camp, greeting old friends, seeing how much they have changed and grown. It was great to catch up with them, to see where they are in their lives as a demigod. But a certain someone was on his mind the entire time. Wherever he went, it seemed Annabeth was anywhere but there. It was almost as if she was... Oh. There she was. Talking to Piper. Why didn't he suspect that?

He strolled over, giving Piper the signal that Percy wanted to surprise Annabeth. And she played it off perfectly. She continued their conversation, acting completely normal. Either she was an amazing actress, or she was just genuinely happy to be here. Both brought a satisfied smile upon Percy's face. Seeing Piper happy was an enchanting spell, casting it on everyone around her. Plus, Percy was basically her older brother, so he had an excuse to be equally as happy as her.

He cautiously walked behind Annabeth, being as quiet as possible, which for Percy wasn't common. He got as close as he could without giving away his presence. For some reason, his heart was pounding. Like, a lot. He was nervous. Why would he be anxious to see his girlfriend? If anything, he should be elated. But he just had this bad feeling...

Percy took a leap of faith and acted. He covered Annabeth's eyes, feeling her eyelashes flutter and whispered in her ear playfully.

"Hope I'm still your Seaweed Brain, or this is going to get really awkward." She giggled and hugged him, turned around at an uncomfortable angle. He rested his hands around her waist, a feeling so natural yet so foreign. It all made sense, why he couldn't focus on school or other girls. Annabeth was the one who helped him focus on school. And to think, he thought he was just unapproachable.

As he hugged his love, he took in everything new about her. Her blonde hair was a little longer, pulled up into a messy ponytail with curly pieces falling out here and there. She seemed healthier, more fit. A little tenser... Her tan was slightly fading, but she still looked like a true Californian. She had on a new perfume. Or so he thought. The more he inhaled it, the more it smelled like... Cologne? It was strong and distinct.

Percy pulled back and knit his eyebrows. "Why do you smell like-" Will Solace came running over, leaving him with an answerless question.

"Sorry to interrupt, but we really need to get things moving. We didn't bring you here for nothing. Now, follow me and," he looked to Piper. "I can explain everything." Annabeth quickly released, following right behind Piper. Percy sighed and followed, questioning the thing he thought he was most sure about.

They got outside of The Big House and Will turned around.

"Now, we may have a bit of a... Seating chart..." Everybody looked at each other, mixed expressions of confusion, suspicion, and frustration.
