~Creston's POV~

The wind rushed through my hair and hit my nostrils with the smells of spring. The warm sun radiated off of my skin and sent tingles relaxation through my body. The sound of music playing and cars rushing by made it all seem so peaceful... so normal.

I gazed out the window watching the people and buildings rush by in a blur. Everything seemed so perfect in this moment.

Then a tantalizing smell hit my nostrils like a truck. It smelled heavenly. And I knew this smell all too well... Coney Island!

I completely forgot that we were coming here. This place has the best Coney Dogs in the world!
As Sarah pulls into a parking spot, I practically jump out of the car before it even comes to a complete stop.

"God I'm starving," I complain as we head into the tiny diner. Surprisingly there wasn't a super long line. Normally it wraps around the block. But, luckily for us, and my stomach, there were only a few families in the diner.
We all, Sarah, Cassie, Laura and I, took a seat at one of the booths and waited for the waitress to come over.

"Welcome to Coney Island." Said a peppy womanly voice. I looked up and saw a woman, probably in her twenties, with brown hair pulled back into a tight bun and 50's looking red and white skirt. She really matched the setting of this diner. Everything was old fashioned. When you walk in it feels like you stepped into a time machine and went back to the 50's. Everything from the outfits to the technology was from that era. It is one of the reasons why this place is so famous around here.

Everyone had already ordered, so it was my turn. "Can I get two Coney Dogs and lemonade please?" I give her a smile as she beams at me and writes down my order.

"I'll have all of that out to you in just a minute." She gushes and practically skips away to fill our order.

"Geez, there's like nobody here." Laura pointed out as she looked around the diner.

She was right though. It was a little weird that the place was so empty. Usually, it was a 45-minute wait just to get in here.
"It's probably that flu that's going around" explained Cassie "I know I had to practically beg my parents to let me come because they are so worried that I'll get sick too."

I just shrugged not thinking too much about it, and the conversation eventually turned to other topics.

Once the waitress came back with our delicious looking food, I wasted no time stuffing my face like a five-year-old. It was just so good. As I looked at my friends, I notice that they are eating the same way.

After we all finished eating, we left a tip and went back outside to walk around downtown and try to find something to do.
"Why don't we go to the library?" Sarah suggested. We all gave her a questioning look. "There's a Starbucks there." She clarified.
We all agreed and walked towards that library.

On the way over there we noticed that there was a small crowd gathered in front of the courthouse.

"What's going on over there?" I question out loud.

"We should go look." Suggested Sarah.

"I don't know," Cassie stated nervously "It looks like a protest or something. I don't want to get involved in that."

"Yeah, it kind of looks like a protest." Laura agreed with Cassie.

"Then you two can head over to the library and me and Creston will go and check it out." Sarah shot at them slightly annoyed. I wasn't surprised that they didn't want to see what was going on since they're always the ones to play on the safe side. As for Sarah and I; we're a little more adventurous.
