17.) Tik Tik Tik Boom

~Creston's POV~

"Creston! Oh my gosh, I haven't seen you in forever!" Katie squealed as she pulled me into a big hug, catching me off guard.

"I thought only Sarah, Cassie and Laura were living here?" I question as I am finally able to pry myself out of her embrace. I was a little shocked to see her, I honestly almost forgot about her with all of this world-ending kind of stuff. Although, I'm extremely happy to see her since we were pretty close before all of this happened.

"Yeah, they assigned us the same house together." She said slightly rolling her eyes.

I laugh a little knowing exactly why she did that, and mainly because out of everyone that she could have shared a house with, she got put into the same one as Sarah; who she had a falling out with a while back.

"Oh! But guess who else is here?" She asked rhetorically. "Emma, Ashley, Michelle and Stephani!"

She grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me into the house.

The inside of it was as cozy as it looked on the outside. The walls were painted a light yellow and everything inside was so full of color.

Once she dragged me into the living room, it erupted with a bunch of squeals and laughter. Ashley and Stephani practically threw themselves at me, and we almost fell onto the floor in a big giggling mess.

Emma and Michelle were standing there awkwardly, not knowing whether or not to join the reunion. But, they eventually made her way over to me and we hugged.

"We were just about to go out back and play some volleyball," Katie informed as she picked up a volleyball from off of the chair next to her and tossed it in the air catching it. "You wanna play?"

"Hell yeah!" I respond and follow her outside to where there was a simple volleyball net set up in the, slightly overgrown, backyard.

"Me and Sarah are team captains!" Katie yelled out before anyone else could claim them.

I give her a knowing look and she gives an innocent shrug back.

She thinks she's sneaky.

After about ten minutes of organizing ourselves and trying not to kill each other over who got who for the teams, we were finally able to come up with them.

Katie's team consisted of Me, Emma, and Ashley. While Sarah's team consisted of Cassie, Laura and Stephani. Michelle didn't want to play; she has some knee problems, so she decided to ref.

"Who gets the ball first?" Laura asked. We all looked at each other, not knowing how to determine who got the ball first.

"How about the team captain pick a number that Michelle is thinking of, and whoever is the closest gets the ball first," Ashley suggested. We all nodded our heads in agreement and Michelle thought of a number.

"Okay, the number is between one and twenty." She declared.

Katie went first. "I'll go with..." She paused for a minute to think. "number sixteen."

Michelle turned to Sarah, implying that it was her turn. "Number one!" She said. Of course, she would go with one, what else would you expect from her?

"The number was ten," Michelle informed and Katie lets out a victory cheer and grabbed the ball from Michelle and carried it over to our side of the court.

I saw Sarah roll her eyes and slouch back over to her side of the court.

Now I'm kind of glad I'm not sharing a house with them. There are going to be a lot of tense moments with the two of them in the same house together.
