Chapter 10: The New People

Cypress climbed a tree "Sorry I didn't know I was staring I was trying figure out if you were a Beacon student but everyone seemed hesitant to ask you." The guy looked up in the tree "Yeah I am, Ozpin told me to find you.. your Cypress right?" She nodded "I'm Ash by the way I figured out you were Cypress by the Cypress going up the back of your cloak" he chuckled. "Why did Ozpin want you to find me?" she asked a little confused. "He said that you were put into a group of four already and there is only three of us and he was wondering if you'd like to be in team Cypress." She looked at him "It looks like I don't really have a choice if Ozpin kept me in the team decider waiting for something like this to happen and I managed to be the team leader." She chuckled "Well do you want to meet us" He asked sarcastically. "Yeah." She laughed and hopped out of the tree and followed him back to the town and everyone started looking at them. "Why does everyone stare at you?" She asked and he laughed "look at me, I look like a regular emo dude." with this she chuckled "what's your weapon?" "The chain." he said simply catching up to two other people. "Cypress this is Platinum he said pointing to a tall guy with blonde hair and grey eyes. He looked a lot like Mercury almost the same outfit but with what looked like platinum and gold. "Are you related to Mercury?" she asked hesitantly "yes i'm his brother I wish I wasn't though, I'm sorry what my Demon of a brother did.. Ozpin told me to give me a heads up." He sighed. Ash and the other girl looked at him confused then at Cypress who was frozen in thought. Ash cleared his throat getting Cypress' attention "Anyways this is Shade" he said pointing to a girl. She was cute, blue hair blue eyes and she was wearing a white crop top, short shorts, and a baby blue cloak. Cypress studied them noticing that Platinum had a saw bladed sword, Ash had a chain with a glossy like finish which she knew it was able to catch fire, and Shade had a little compact thing on her belt which could only be a gun. By the looks of it they work great together as a team. Cypress looked at them "can you give me a minute to put all my stuff into the new dorm?" she asked and they nodded. She quickly moved all her stuff into the new dorm explained to Ruby and just sat in her new room staring at her weapon she decided to grab some tools and started upgrading it once again. This time choosing a style that matched her. when she was done it still compacted like the scythe but it was pretty much a multi weapon. She could either compact it like Ruby's scythe, or two samurai swords. It can be a gun, a grappling thing, or two samurai swords. She also has a computerized hologram projecting bracelet. Just as Cypress gets up to head out there was a knock on the door. "Cypress?" Ash asked from the other side of the door. She opens the door "hey Ash." she said letting him into their room. "I was wondering what was up with the whole Platinum thing. I know it's not really any of my business but Shade and I can tell it really upsets you and we just want to know for we can help.." She looked at him "It's okay, I'm okay." she said sitting on her bed and he looked at her "listen I know we just met, but we are a team now you can trust us." she sighed "I know but I just got over it and I don't want to have to build myself back up again. In short Platinum's brother Mercury and I went on a 'rescue mission' to go save my brother but Mercury just set me up killing my brother right in front of me." she stated simple and stood up heading for the door. "I'm going to the town for a while meet you back here later." Cypress said heading for the door just wanting to walk around for a while. "okay, I'm going to go find Shade she wanted to talk to me about something." Ash said and headed out the door. As Cypress walked through the town she heard Ruby and Penny and decided to go find them. She ended up running into Penny who was looking though a window at music place waiting for Ruby. "Why don't you go in." Cypress said sneaking up behind Penny then suddenly talking. "CYPRESS!" Penny said pulling her friend into a hug and they talked for quite some time.
