Cypress (A RWBY fan fic)

Chapter 1: Meeting her soon to be team mates

Cypress stood her ground waiting for junior to make his next move. He looked over at his men and smirked "get her" he shouted while pointing at her. Cypress got into her fighting stance preparing herself to fight, she took a deep breath and took off taking out 3 of junior's men one by one. She was about to take out another but noticed junior trying to get away she ran after him only to run into the RWBY team who were trying to catch him too. After a few minutes junior was once again gone. Rescued by his "side kick". She stopped in her tracks when Ruby came up to her. Cypress looked at Ruby who looked at her wondering who she was " I am Cypress a future huntress in training". Ruby chuckled "seems to me that you made the capture attempt for junior shorter for us thanks" Cypress laughed "I accidentally ran into him without knowing until i looked closer" Yang "did you just say future huntress in training?" Cypress smiled "yep just waiting for Beacon to accept my resumé". As she said that she noticed Ruby looking at her ears "yes i am a faunas" she said looking at Blake. Yang "well you learn something new everyday" Ruby "what kind of faunas are you?" Cypress smiled "a wolf" Blake looked at Cypress then at Weiss. "well it was nice meeting all of you but if you don't mind me, i am going to go watch the tournament" Cypress said starting to walk away. Ruby ran up in front of her "we are going to go see the tournament too why don't we all go watch together?" she smiled. Cypress looked at Ruby unsure then at Yang, Weiss, and Blake "why not?'' she shrugged as they started walking to the battle arena.

-later at the battle arena-

As they neared the battle arena Weiss heard the sound of weapons clinging together "come on we are late it already started!" she said frustrated. Blake "hopefully Mercury hasen't fought yet or he will be frustrated that we weren't there to watch." Cypress "wait did you just say Mercury is fighting?..." Blake "um... yes" Cypress "he was my best friend when we were younger! Well i mean we are still friends but it has been forever sense we last saw each other." Ruby "that's cool how long has it been sense you have seen or talked to him?" Cypress "lets see... -she mumbled to herself math- about 3 years." Ruby "that's not too bad" Yang "well if you guys would stop talking and we get our butts over there then maybe we will be able to see him fight." Cypress "how do you know he hasn't fought already?" Yang " i know because while you three were chatting he walked by heading down to the fighting area." Cypress "and you didn't say anything!?!" Yang " i thought it would be better for him for he wouldn't get distracted by you when he's fighting." Cypress "you do have a point." Weiss "well why don't we actually do what Yang said and go see him fight." Blake "Weiss we know you just want to watch to see other peoples fighting tactics and strategies" Weiss "one day someone i watched will attack you and i will be the one to take that person down and you will be thanking me!" -everyone laughed as they head to their seats which thankfully Pyrrha saved for them as her team mates watched the fights- Ruby "hope it wasn't to much trouble for you to save these seats for us." Pyrrha "it wasn't any problem at all. I see you made a new friend.. -she waved- I'm Pyrrha" Cypress smiled "nice to meet you Pyrrha i am Cypress." Pyrrha "you seem like a huntress yet i don't think i have ever seen you at school" Cypress "really you think i am a huntress -she grinned happily- no i'm not a huntress yet i really want to be and i am just waiting for Beacon to accept my resume." Pyrrha "well nice to meet you soon to be school buddy.." Blake interrupted "Mercury is about to fight." -they all turned their attention on the battle floor nothing really happened the first few minutes until Mercury got an advantage and the opponent's friend wasn't to happy about it so he jumped down onto the battle floor followed by a few of his friends- Mercury "hey! this isn't fair" Ozpin "if this was a real battle it wouldn't matter about fairness" Cypress shot up out of her seat and ran down the tops of the seats barrel spinning off the railing that separates the battle area's wall from the seats. she stood up her hood fell on when she came down and she took out her swords. Ozpin looked at her wondering what she was doing and she noticed... "you said it doesn't matter about fairness in a battle... So what happens when an old friend suddenly appears to help..." she said charging at the opponents...
