Josh's pov;
"You killed my mate!" Tom spat out. I stare in shock at what he said.. Me? "Who?" I ask. Tears mixed with blood slowly ran down his cheeks, Kate.." My eyes widen.
"She was your mate?! I didn't know! She bought me from my dad to be HER mate!" I explain.
He hangs his head in shame, "I brought her back.." He whispers. "What the.. IF THEY'RE DEAD YOU LEAVE THEM DEAD!" I shout.
He looks up at me, "You'd do the same.." He says, staring right into my eyes. I turn to Ted. He was staring wide eyed.
I've had enough of this.. I gotta go pick up Blake. "Take him away.." I tell Ted, walking pass him. Ted nods and does as he was told.
While I was walking, I was thinking.. Would I really? Would I really be so selfish I'd bring Mia back to life? I let out a sigh, no, no if Mia dies.. I'll let her stay dead..
I open the door to the daycare center, Miss Berchwood was standing there with a boy who had a cut on his leg. Once she sees me she runs up to me, "Hello Alpha." She says, rubbing her hand on my leg. I decide on ignoring it. I wake up Blake.
Once we get to the park, I push him on the swing. He's so cute. He ran off into the field, before I could get to him, I felt a hand grab my arm. I look up, it was my Ex girlfriend, Britney. "Oh my god!" She shrieks. "Um.. Hi.." I say. She hugs me and kisses my cheek. "Josh! How've you been?" She asks. I bite my lip, "alright.."
She smiles and rubs her hand on my thigh. "Ohh.. That's good." She says, winking.
Before I could respond, I hear a low growl. Fuck. It was Mia..
"What the fuck!" She shouts. I get nervous and turn around to face my mate. "Umm.. Mia, it's not what it looks like.." I whisper, taking a step closer to her. She starts shaking. Oh no, her wolf was gonna come out.
Her hands turn into fists as she stares at the ground. "Mia! Don't Blake's here!" I say. Her head shoots up, her eyes were yellow. She runs over to Blake and picks him up, covering his ears as she comes closer to me.
She gets right in my face, "Fuck. You." She says. There was so much anger in her voice. Mia runs into our car and drives away with our son. I stand there. What just happened?
"Who was she?" Brittany asks me. I turn to her, "My mate.." Her lips makes a O shape. "Who cares, now we can have the fun we used to when we were dating, right?" I growl and step away, "NO!" I shout.
I start running to the pack house, I could smell Mia. I stopped running and looked around. Brittany was still following me! She comes up behind me, "ooohhh, playing hard to get, huh?" She asks. I really wish she wasn't a woman..
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" I shout, shifting and running again. I gotta fix this with Mia.. I don't wanna loose my mate and child.
I finally make it to the pack house, Mia wasn't in the car or was Blake. I start getting nervous as I run through the house, trying to find them. I run into our room. She was there, with her head in the pillow crying softly. Blake was next to her, staring.
"Daddy!" He shouts once he sees me. Mia looks up from the pillow, her eyes were red and puffy. I sit down next to her, once I do she shouts. "Get away from me!" I get closer, "Mia, let me explain.." Before I could finish, she shouts again, "No! The damage is done you assho-" she was gonna say it.. But realized Blake was still here.
I get closer, "Mia.." "No!" She shouts again. I sigh, "please, let me explain.." I whisper.
She looks at me. "Look, she's my ex girlfriend. I just ran into her at the park with Blake. She was grabbing me because all the females here are in heat!" She doesn't say anything. Most likely processing everything.
"What does heat mean?" Blake asks me. "Don't worry about it buddy." I respond. He nods and plays with his blanket.
Mia still hasn't said anything. "Mia?" I ask. She moves a little then hugs me, squeezing onto my body tight.
"I'm so sorry.." She whispers. I chuckle, "it's fine babe.." We let go and kiss. 'I want you..' She links me.
Well, that's my que.
I link Meg, 'can you watch Blake for a hour or so?' I ask she responds, 'sure.' In minutes, there was a knock on the door and meg comes in, "Auntie!" Blake shouts, running to her. She kneels down, "Hey Blake! Wanna go get some ice cream?" She asks. He nods. Meg picks him up and says bye to us, shutting the door.
Once the door makes a 'click' sound, Mia was all over me.
