Josh's pov;
We arrived at the hospital just when Mia was moaning. We go into the room as the pack warriors lay her down on the bed, the doctor runs in.
"Hi, I'm doctor Ashley. What's wrong with the Luna?" She asks, taking the heart listener thing off her neck and onto Mia's chest. She groans, "my.. My stomach.. It hurts!" She whines. I put Blake in the waiting room with meg. She was here before to get her shots.
"Aha.. I see.. Tell me if this hurts." She says, pressing down on Mia's stomach. She pushed around for awhile until she gets to her lower stomach. She winces in pain, "there.." She whispers. The doctor nods and looks at her nurse, "Get the x ray machine ready please." She says. The nurse nods and runs out of the room. We wheel her out of that room and into another. It was completely dark besides from a green light. We set her down on a gray table, I don't know what happened next.. I think all the stress blocked me out of reality.
I felt someone shaking my arm, "Alpha, alpha." I look up and see doctor Ashley staring at me with concern. "Uh, yeah.. What's wrong with her?" I ask, snapping back into what was happening. "Our Luna has a tumor in her stomach... Very close to the womb." My heart breaks, "Wha.. What are you going to do?" I ask stuttering. "If we operate," she begins. "We will possibly be ruining her chances of producing children. If we let the tumor stay, she'll die in a 2 weeks."
Tears threaten to spill down my cheek. I could loose my mate, Blake could loose his mom... "How didn't I feel this since I'm her mate?" I ask. She shakes her head, "I don't know.. She must of had the pain before but not of said something or shrugged it off. I don't know how you didn't feel it. Did you block her out?" She asks. My eyes widen, "yes.. Yes I did.." She nods, "that's why." A tear slips down my cheek. "Would you like us to do the operation?" She asks, raising an eye brow. Let her die.. Or ruin the chance of her to have a baby.. Well, we already have one.. He can lead the pack. "Yes. Do it please." I answer back. She nods and walks away.
I go out to the waiting room. Once Blake sees me his eyes light up, "daddy! Where's mom?" He asks. Wow this was the first time he didn't say mommy.
"She's a little sick.. But, the doctor is going to fix her." I answer back, sitting down on a chair next to meg. She looks at me, 'what's really wrong?' She asks, concern in her voice. 'She has a tumor..' I whisper. Her mouth drops open in disbelief.
My eyes water up.
