Silent Sentiments

Though I might not say
Those words to you
The silent sentiments
I feel are oh so true

I'm afraid I might love you
Wholeheartedly
Wearing my scared scarred heart on my sleeve for all to see

But know that I intend to fully
As I can't control it's needs
For my heart beats wildly now With the sheer sound of your voice

My laughter echoes more profoundly when you whisper sweet melodies trademarked by only your tone

A tone that does to me things
I never knew existed and could have easily remained forever unknown

Maybe I'm afraid to let you in But the heart that's erratically beating by your presence controls itself in agony

It now beats to a whole new rhythm

And dances to a silent tune

The tune that you play to it
Willing it to you with command
Like the Pied Piper of Hamelin

But now I can feel my body yielding as it moves freely

Slowly slipping effortlessly into your dream, under your
captive spell

The choice isn't mine anymore to make

As your token I'm compelled and willing to take

Propelling me to wager all at the stake

Your token of love has opened up for me an abundant floodgate

So swept away I want to be
Carried off to the open sea
Forever embraced in your warmth for all eternity

Token always in hand

No more silence to reprimand
